Quietest Moderator for PROD under $150?

I appreciate the info! My dive buddy has a Prod and has been thinking about ordering that one, I will let him know. I cannot agree more in regards to the owner. DW

https://buck-rail.com/product/benjamin-marauder-pistol-suppressor/ I have not shot this suppressor, but I have a buck rail for my avenger that I am very happy with. DW

    Compressor?

You might give Jim Sheldon a call, 316-992-0505, he is located in Wichita Kansas. In April he told me he had a Walter Kidde compressor, electric, with auto shutoff but no filter tower for $850 before shipping. He didn't say whether it was the 2.4 CFM or the 4.2 CFM. They are nice compressors, 4...

    Lets talk tanks pop

Many of us that use steel scuba tanks fill to 4,000 or so with no problems. It is generally called a "cave fill" and has been done for decades with LP (Low Pressure) steels. I know of folks who fill their HP steels to 4,000 or a bit higher. I do not know if they still do, but Luxfer used to...

    Scuba Tank Info Please

As was stated above, the SCBA tanks are a lot lighter, and higher pressure. I have been using scuba tanks with my avenger. An AL40 (Aluminum, 40 cubic foot) filled to 3k provides for a LOT of shots for me. If you decide to go with steel tanks, you will have 2 common choices. You can go with...

Heat sink fins for 110v compressor motor ?

That is how my compressor is set up, it has the cooling fins on the tubing between each stage. DW

    Scuba tanks

Understood. I wasn't try to be an ass. And you are right, the carbon fiber tanks are a LOT lighter. I was just clarifying in case someone in the future reads this thread who is a diver and already has a tank that might be useful in the mean time until they can get ahold of a CF tank. No...

Budget $2000 for Compressor. Any suggestions?

Agreed on some of the parts availability. It is my understanding that Jim had sold a lot of his stuff to a company in Texas. I will have to look through my notes and see if I can find the name and number. They carry some parts, and can make some (or could, when I talked with them. Also agree...

Budget $2000 for Compressor. Any suggestions?

You might touch base with Jim Sheldon. He has built a lot of Walter Kidde compressors. (316) 992-0505 I am not sure if he has any in stock or not, as he is semi-retired. The Kidde compressors are great compressors. DW

    Scuba tanks

One thing to keep in mind, not all SCUBA tanks are 3k psi. The HP tanks are around 3500. With LP steels it is common to cave fill them to 4k, depending on the age of the tank. DW

Why US bottle sizes are confusing

It has to do with gasses not being as compressible at higher pressures (and lower temps). If memory serves, I think that the differences were negligible until around the 4,000 psi stage, but I could be mis-remembering. At higher pressures, such as we dealt with in steel tanks that were "cave"...

Why US bottle sizes are confusing

While not nearly as necessary with airguns as it is with diving, a bit of reading about the "Ideal Gas Law Deviation" might be of interest. DW

    Cheap compressors - my perspective

Jim is a great guy! I lucked across a Walter Kidde myself a couple of years ago. I do a lot of diving, and the closest dive shop is an hour and a half away. I gave $700 for the compressor (4.4 CFM) and changed motor and compressor oils. I repacked the filter tower, and added a remote air intake...
