The way you never forget to close the loading lever is when you pick it up you also put the safety on, then you open the gate and load the gun. When ready to fire you then have to put the safety off and you will see the loading arm is up. Works for me, and touch wood I have never forgotten mine...

I have gotten into the habit of engaging the safety when you lift the loading lever. If you then try to shoot you must first put the safety off and then you will see the lever is still open. Otherwise the crocodile will bite you!

I ended up getting a new one, a 2023 model in the serial number. Has anyone tried casting their own peanut slugs, using a MP mould? Do you have to size the slugs once you cast them? How is that done?
