Probably the Walmart phenomenon. Samsung makes TVs for Walmart stores specifically in the same factory as their other TVs. There is no outward difference. But to make them Walmart affordable there are some liberties takes in the manufacturing process to keep cost down. Probable the same deal.

Really good specs for being 34mm tube, over 15” long. Weight is very reasonable at 30oz for not just competition but hunting as well, especially with the illumination. Be most curious how the eyebox and darkening stacks up at higher magnification to see how much of the 30 power is usable.

Cold barrel POI shift on PB is not a forgone conclusion. Well made barrels, with excellent throats and chambering, proper stocks/chassis/bedding are much less susceptible to POI. I have very little if any cold barrel issues from my custom PBs, especially with the correct proper hand loads.

I happen to feel the same. I owned a Talon SS for many years and when I bought it the cost was $350 dollars new. I am glad it was there and affordable and gave me a way in to PCPs, but it’s the same Airgun today, yet much more expensive and unregulated — still. I am all for low tech Airguns...

Most .22 calibers bull pups with a good harmonic tune and a good moderator like a Donny Yokozuna will be pretty darn quiet. I would say this opens up a lot of choices for you, especially if you are going to stick to pellets.
