With air rifles you might as well just buy what you want your rifle to be in the end and get it over with. You might save some money in the long run, unless you can get some good deals on the classifieds.

Not to try to derail this thread. Is it okay to dry fire this hammer system with no air in the rifle? I accidentally did it once when I was degassing the rifle to lower the reg pressure. Insert moron smiley here.

How big are these hammer springs? I have a XR Magnum .22cal and it sounds like it dumps a lot of air also. I have the spring kit for the Ghost and am wondering if they're a similar size.

I have a few Athlon scope reticles in the MOA version. I really like Athlon scopes.

If possible, please do a comparison with and without the VoluMax to give people an idea of what they can reasonably expect by purchasing one.
