It came with the 'moderator upgrade' DonnyFL FX. I'll open it up and see if it's empty -- that'd surprise me. I have that and a Ronin but haven't opened either to see what's actually inside.

Cardboard's nice up front, as someone else recommended, but horse stall mats (3/4" thick rubber, but still cutable with a box cutter) make a very nice 'final layer' before steel, cutting both sound and spall/pellet splash.

+1 for Justin. Also, their rush handling is actually rush, which is very nice. Great company.

+1 to shrink tubing, assuming you have a heat gun/hair dryer. And it costs a hell of a lot less than $25 per too!

That's interesting that the DonnyFL FX was smaller/lighter -- and quieter! I had an FX, upgraded to a Ronin to cut more sound, but can't really tell the difference.

The 'overhanging roof' clarification is a good one. I have DonnyFL Ronin and an DonnyFL FX 'moderator upgrade' and despite the former having -- visually -- maybe 2x the volume of the latter, I almost can't hear a difference... when inside a concrete garage. Curious if there's be a more marked...

I have two DonnyFL moderators, including a Ronin. It is a beautifully machined piece of kit. Lock-up/mount on an FX barrel was extremely tight. I only have a few rounds through it, but no signs of clipping whatsoever. My two cents.
