I know nothing about trigger setup or adjusting but my HW100 trigger out of the box is better than any gun I've owned in about 40yrs of shooting.

Where in Iowa? I'm just over the border in Omaha and there's a few shooters here I know of. Nothing like official competition that I'm aware of though.

I can't shoot well enough to make use of the gilt edged accuracy of a 5k rifle so in the end, it doesn't matter at my level. I have an HW100kt and I'll worry about what's better when I can outshoot this gun. I'd say we'll have a long and happy relationship.

I've had one air rifle tuned and it was by John Thomas (John in PA) and it is nothing short of superb. Gun is a HW97k in .22 and I and in love with it. When I pulled the trigger the first time post tune I'm glad no children were present as it was a "Holy S**t" moment.

I have to say I'm in love with my HW97k it exudes quality and has ridiculous accuracy. While it won't be mine, it very well could be ones only air rifle.

I bought 97K in .22 with the blue laminate and I think it's wonderful. I had a 4x UTG on it but just put a Leupold 3x9 rimfire on it to try tomorrow until I get something specific for it. Just throwing pellets to get it broken in for now but the accuracy is definitely there.
