    MCH-6 Coltri

Hello LMNOP, no criticism taken at all. I believe what you're referring to is what is typically called thermal overload protection and I agree with you, it provides the protection you're discussing but without me being able to see a wiring diagram for that particular motor, I don't like to...

    MCH-6 Coltri

I'm new to pcps and air rifles in general (not counting inexpensive pump ups as a kid) and I appreciate reading all the valuable info here. While I don't know pcps that well, I've been around/involved in electrical for a little over 25 years. Did field work for 17+ years and been doing...

A quick note on using oversized circuit breakers, you'll lose all overload protection for your compressor if it should malfunction. If the compressor malfunctions and something is causing it to draw to much current and your breaker size is too large, you'll likely burn the compressor completely...

For those asking about wiring size/gauge, according to the specs the load on the single phase model is 17 amps @ 230 volts. Different ways of figuring this but most residential electrical services are 120/240V. If you take 17A x 230V = 3,910 watts. Voltage goes up / amperage goes down so 3,910...

Akela first impressions and a question for Akela owners

On another note, the "parts bag" that came with my Akela did/does have 2 or 3 extra breech o-rings that came with it! Not sure about the puff of air. Mine did have a slight leak when I received it. It seemed to lose 80-100 psi or so over a 24-36hr period of time, thammer (Troy I believe) gave me...

Akela first impressions and a question for Akela owners

I really like my Akela, that being said, I'm new to PCP's and it's only the second one I've purchased. I ended up running this mount to get the scope where I wanted it. https://www.leapers.com/index.php?act=prod_detail&midx=2180&allids=2131_2178_2180&itemno=AIR31850 I like a fairly tight cheek...

    Sub $700 Bullpup Choices

Appreciate all the replies, I ended up picking up one of the Benjamin Akela's about 3 weeks ago or so. Liking it a lot so far, doesn't seem pellet picky at all and shoots most everything fairly well up to 40yds. Haven't gotten a chance to push it any further yet.

Thanks for the reply. I was curious as I hadn't seen a preferred crown mentioned much in pcps. I've seen all kinds in pb's and have done a handful of flat recessed crown's on pb's. I prefer the flat recessed on hunting rifles.

AIM Sports Alpha 6 Initial Impression

LOL......YO! I've seen a bunch of scopes do the dreaded one click off! Doesn't bother me any and dang sure won't stop me from purchasing more of the Alpha 6's!

Do you recrown due to the original crown being poorly cut or do you recrown to custom cut for accuracy if you don't mind me asking?

I had the same issue on the L to R ctshooter. Not perfect zero line up but I figure for price point and the fact that I don't dial, it shouldn't affect me much.
