    Barra Slugs in the 250z

I wouldn’t go .249… I’ve used .250 and .251… and chrono numbers I get have been better than a lot of the review videos I’ve seen where they are testing slugs. Slugging your barrel is the best choice of course. But getting a good seal around the slug gives better performance. Cup base and dish...

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

My .250z likes them all to be honest but my recommendation is to stay around 60-65FPE…. That’s the sweet spot on the gun. At about 2600psi I’m shooting 30gr Franco slugs at 950-960 FPS. Super accurate and I’m getting 20 shots a fill. At the current settings it will also shoot 35&36gr Franco...

    Apolo pellets, what's the story?

My barra 250z loves the 33gr slugs.

    Snowpeak Preordered my MAX1

My barra 250z slings slugs like it’s life depends on it for $450… but it is another SPA gun so add that to the list haha.

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

Sorry if you’re seeing this again from HAM. But I figured I’d share… Okay so I finally took a picture of a grouping today. I switched to 36gr custom made Franco slug from 35gr(cuz I’m running low 😭😭). They look most like NSA cup base hollow points. They are really really nice slugs and they are...

    Barra 250z moderator

Im using a basic Buck Rail moderator. It works just fine but for higher power tunes I notice some recoil. But I shoot all the time, early morning and late night in my yard and all around with no issues. Definitely size up though.

I have a .25 cal in tan and it loves slugs. Super accurate gun too. I’ve been bagging lots of varmints.

diablos vs hollow points for rats

Just tried out some H&N 28.24 Barracudas in my Barra 250z today and oooh she liked ‘em…. First non slug I’ve shot that the gun actually liked…. Getting 915-920 fps out of them and shoots like a laser at 50 yards… and the impact on a large bird I shot earlier was devastating.

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

Okay everyone another update: Slugs… since porting the thimble valve I tried shooting some .251cal 32gr Patriot Javelins and the gun loved them. In videos I’ve seen a lot of .249 H&N slugs being shot but my particular gun likes .250 and .251 she’s loose hahaha. Pellets: since then I decided...

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

Yeah strange that the 40gr did 800 and the 34gr did 850. I’m brand new to the pcp world so I think it was mostly a bad tune causing it… I have since learned how to use just the hammer spring adjustments to improve accuracy. I shot a dime sized group from 25 yards with 32gr Patriot Javelin .251...

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

If you’re looking for big power with efficiency you’re probably gonna have to open up the block a bit. But this this is so fun to shoot

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

Okay, keep in mind this is my very first real pcp so I’m still learning haha. To make a long story short I knew my tune wasn’t right cuz I could hear the slug power kit was really slamming the valve open. I was getting decent power but the sound, accuracy and shot count were off. So yesterday...

    Barra Slugs in the 250z

I’m in In one slug test video I saw it really liked the H&N .249 36gr but the guy had turned it up to 2500 on the regulator. Nothing else was changed.
