I should have said it doesn't hold at the bottom of the loading stroke, and when it does it sometimes releases on it's own?. I'd rather fix it myself if possible. The rifle isn't worth the postage to fix.

No, the tech I spoke with said they oiled the detent ball and everything was fine. I have questions on this. That's why I asked them to do the napkin test. Rifle was fine for a month and then breech would not close, no matter how much force was applied. We'll see.
