    Hand Pumping PCP?

I started out with a $200 hand pump but quickly upgraded to a compressor that cost me $380. The more I shoot the more I appreciate having the small air compressor which refills the reservoir much faster than I could ever do with a hand pump. I have moved to a larger compressor to fill a large...

    Lead and Lead Free Pellets

I would be more interested in how the gram weight of the pellets altered the velocity from the rifle and the grouping. A lighter weight lead free pellet should in theory have a higher initial velocity but less ft lbs of energy when it strikes the target. I would like to use lead ammo for...

Index wheel or scope with finer gradations for shorter distances

I have UTG scopes and the only wheels available from UTG have markings for 10, 12, and 25 yards and not the 11,11,13,14,15,18,25 yards shown in the picture with the post. The devil is in the details. Approximate is not good enough when taking out a squirrel at 18 yards and having to guess how...

Index wheel or scope with finer gradations for shorter distances

Who makes the wheel shown in the picture as that is exactly what I want for my airguns?

Index wheel or scope with finer gradations for shorter distances

I need a way to dial in the scope for distances from 10 yards to 40 yards. The problem with my current scopes and the UTG add-on index wheel is that the have an index mark for 10 yards, 12 yards, and 25 yards. I want to have something with 2-yard gradations from 10 yards to 25 yards and not need...

Should I buy a handpump with higher bar than the rifle?

I bought the Hill pump which has been excellent and goes to 4500 PSI, though I have not pumped my rifles past 3000 PSI. It was a happy day when I got the GX CS2 electric air compressor to refill my airguns. So nice to sit and watch the PSI go up on the rifle. For the $414 it cost I have many...

Is more better where caliber is concerned?

Mass times velocity determine impact and so a heavier pellet is more of a factor then its caliber or diameter. The heavier pellet if the gun can provide the pressure to propel it is going to be less subject to wind shift but more likely to drop over distance. With my switch to 19.9 grain lead...

    GX Compressors?

My GX C2 compressor failed after very light use. As the company is based in Guangdong China the warranty does not really mean much. I am replacing it with a Hill EC-3000 compressor which though it is manufactured in England does have support in the USA.

GX CS2 Portable PCP Air Compressor?

Mine failed after 11 months of minimal use. The warranty is of no use when I would need to pay the shipping of the compressor to Guangdong China.

    Too tough squirrels

I have hit three squirrels with head shots that spun them 360 degrees and they were still able to run off. I have some very disappointed red shouldered hawks as a result. Using an Air Arms S510 in .25 caliber and top pressure in the gun and 16.54 grain tin pellets. Any suggestions other than...

    30 cal coyote hunting pcp

I would never hunt an animal that is keeping the mice and rat populations in check.

    Marauder Semi-auto power tune mods

If you want more power than buy another rifle that has the power you want. It will be simpler and faster and no risk of having the gun fail. With the SAM rifle one is opting for rapid firing of up to 10 shots and the price is less power and a lighter pellet that can be used. I have the SAM in...

    Portable air compressors

I have the GX CS2 Air Compressor that runs of 12V battery source, i.e. a car battery. It takes it about 4 minutes to take my Marauder SAM from 0 to 3000 PSI. Normally though I add air when the rifles get down to 2000 PSI. Not very loud and I run it without earmuffs in my office so no worries...

    Deer hunting pcp

Remington sells more than 1 million rounds of ammo each year so the problem in terms of availability is with foolish nuts hoarding a 30 year supply "just in case". The leading cause of death is from heat as a result of global warming so "end of days" has already arrived. More likely to get shot...

This is why we called them Varmints

I have more problems from deer and neighbor's cats that are running loose but the squirrels in large numbers can cause significant damage to trees. They like to eat the top shoots and the bark on branches and can greatly stunt the growth of the trees, in particular with pine trees and oaks.
