Out of 6 liners it was 50/50 wether they liked the 217 or the 218 the most. My 70cm slug-a liner them both well but shines with the 25gr 217 and my 60cm Superior Heavy liner very well with the 27gr 218. The fatter one does loose some speed because of the higher friction but I prefer accuracy...

I couldn't get the 33.5gr NSA to work beyond 110 yards but the 36.2gr work great at longer ranges, at 950fps they are very accurate at 165 yards.

The long hammer spring in the original Impact might pull the valve open, slowly cocking the Impact with the barrel up should ease the valve back in place. If you can see the end of the valve rod in the small hole below the barrel inlet the valve should be properly seated, if it still leaks you...

The new valve return spring is thick and very long and intended for the low power stuff and/or using low reg pressures, at the 4th line on the valve adjuster you are already loosing a lot of speed so try again with the valve adjuster just past the rubber o-ring without it hitting the shroud...

In .25 the twist rate is 1:21 of the 70cm slug A liner which is on the slow side, it might not be fast enough to stabilise the heavier slugs over 40 grain. I hope FX brings out a .25 slug B liner soon with a faster twist so we can fully utilise the extra power that comes with the power plenum.

Thats actually with the slug the OP mentions, so a .25 48.5gr cast slug from the MP Mold. Reg pressure was 170 bar and I did use the old heavier hammer, old longer hammer spring and no valve return spring so not entirely stock ;)

The cavities of the new high cap .25 magazines are too wide for slugs, the timing is spaced for pellet skirts which are wider than the pellet heads but with slugs there is no oversized skirt so the timing is off. With .25 slugs from NSA, H&N, etc you might experience loading issues and the last...

Speed maxes out around 145 bar, if it is much lower than this something is wrong like the hammer seat coming loose which should be fixed with Loctite.

Maybe the bleed screw isn't properly tightened during assembly, just open and retighten it with a 2mm Allen key. Fold the Leshiy open and check the small bleed hole next to the valve.

The .30 45gr JSB goes 291mps / 954fps and the old 47gr NSA 284 mps / 931fps with the reg just below 150 bar. 

With a 50 meter zero its roughly a 7 mil holdover at 100 meters, that is indeed a lot compared to my Impact with .22 and .25 slugs. I did upgrade the Vortex 2-10 btw for a Discovery ED 4-16 with a 0.25 mil tree reticle so that all the holdovers can be done without touching the turrets.
