    Barrel cleaning from the muzzle

If you have to clean from the muzzle, seems to me it would be best to pull your patch/brush through. This would minimize bore damage as pushing it through would flex the rod and cause it to rub the bore more. Just my 2 cents............

    Forget EBay…

My son-in-law sells car parts on eBay and can tell horror stories about buyers costing him money! Like buying the wrong part and, instead of accepting that they made a mistake they will open a case saying 'the part doesn't fit'. EBay always sides with the buyer so he is stuck with (expensive)...

Is FedEx's service as bad in your area as in mine?

I live out in the country (cattle and hay not rancho mini-estates) and Fedex contract drivers often don't know how to find me so its always a crap-shoot. I've had packages listed as 'delivered' that didn't show up for a couple more days...........

Copy of Optics post on budget scopes.

Don't have any experience with this scope but, for the price, its worth a roll of the dice - Bushnell 4-12x40 Banner Riflescope, AO, Black with Multi-X Reticle, 1" Tube Diameter...

UPGRADED TO A NEW TX200 WALNUT

I bought a used one through the GTA classifieds and put a SWFA SS 10X on it - wonderfully accurate, a great trigger, and a joy to shoot. I, too, wish it had a better stock finish. Does anyone know what the original finish is?

Officially retired as of last Friday

After I retired, folks would ask me how it is - "seven Saturdays a week ain't bad" was my standard answer.

Puts a smile on my face

I use washers and a sharpie to draw my aiming points. Go somewhere like Tractor Supply that sells nuts & bolts by the pound and pick up an assortment...

What type of shooter are you? - Happy Plinker, Driven Perfectionist, or Multi-Pumper Mega-Man?

I'm a paper-puncher who does so more for entertainment than for perfection. At 77 yrs old with what my doctor calls a "familial tremor", I'll never shoot as well as I could 20 years ago. I do it for fun...........

    Fortitude questions

I'm a new airgun shooter (~ 9 months) and newer to PCPs (~ 2 months) and have been reading many older posts in order to build some semblance of a knowledge-base to help me learn and understand airguns. I bought a Benjamin Fortitude and am enjoying shooting it but have a couple of questions...

Greetings from another new member and welcome to the forum. My first (and only) PCP is a Fortitude, kind-of a poor cousin to the Marauder. A little 'trigger tweaking' was necessary for it as well. There is a lot of good information here so when you aren't shooting, spend a lot of time reading...

    New memeber intro

Welcome to the forum from another new member. There is a lot of good information here. I, too, was/am a powder burner enthusiast all my life and knew little about airguns. Start reading old posts and it will soon all start making sense. Take care............

Powder burners became too much trouble. I live in the country but, if I wanted to shoot, my range needed bush hogging and the bush hog wasn't on the tractor. Now I can sit on my porch, enjoy an adult beverage, and shoot across my yard (45 feet) and enjoy shooting again,

Greeting everyone. I'm a new member 77 years old located in Seminary, MS USA. I've been a powder burner for all my life but transitioned to airguns last summer. Started with Hatsan Airtact refurb but didn't like the trigger. Tried another Hatson with their Quatro trigger but didn't like...
