I had a finicky FX once. It wasn't to the extreme of yours but it shifted inpact some as well. I got rid of most of it by wrapping teflon tape around the end of the liner before putting the jam nut on. It had some slop when inside the nut and the tape helped keep it in place.

That was something to see. Banging it around on that metal table was painful to watch. Then dry firing to boot. On a positive note at least they aren't sitting at home waiting on a welfare check.

I have a wooden dowel from my local hardware. Get one near the size of the bore and run it down the barrel from the muzzle. Then you can push the oring in very carefully with a dental pick. The dowel helps keep the oring from jumping past where it seats. Should be able to do it without removing...

I use those same mags in my Royale 400. They work great!! As a side note I bought 2 mags for my .22 Royale from New England Airguns. When they showed up they were both .25 cal mags and I returned them. They may still have them.

I'm only going to address the hunting aspect. It's .25 all the way!! It drifts much less in the wind and hits with way more authority. The difference is a kill vs a instant kill. When I hit a starling with a .22 I get a lot of them trying to fly as they are falling and sometimes a hop or 2 when...
