They go hand in hand it's kind of tinkering device I have a couple of Crowns MkII and tinkered way more than I should the main thing is to remember what the original setting was so you can return to factory setting. You can actually increase the reg pressure and leave the hammer spring alone...

I epoxed the sleeve on the liner and bought the new barrel spacers to fit and its been eliminated. If i get a POI shift its from temperature change or its dirty i have polished my barrel and when the POI shifts its usually a dirty barrel i clean with ballistol about 8 patches and its good to go...

I was shooting from Fx crown and I shot them at all different speeds my crown like Fx 13.4 pellets give me excellent accuracy but I did a lot of work on the barrel to achieve this ( epoxied sleeve, polished the barrel then indexed the barrel )at 55 yards 1/4” group the indexing blew my mind it...

If your FX isn't shooting right or you just want to tinker with don't be afraid to polish the barrel, it will improve your accuracy and you can't be afraid to index the barrel I have done it on all of my Crowns and the accuracy is there it just has to be brought out. So this would be the case...

Take the reg out take all of the washers out clean each one put a light coat of silicone oil could have a tiny spec of trash make sure you do not mix the washers they are different thickness and different direction pay attention.
