Because airgun trajectories drop quickly I have found weapon mounted laser range finders with ballistic software are extremely helpful at all ranges.

I use their scope mounts on all my precision air and powder rifles, they are considered by many to be the best available, have some exceptional features and yes they are expensive.

I'm asking if anyone is shooting the Gen 2 Patriot Javelin .30 caliber slugs in their RAW HM1000x.LRT, if yes, which ones, how is the precision and what is the tune?

I expect I'll have to increase my regulator pressure and adjust my hammer spring settings. At or near the OEM settings the FX Hybrid 44.5 slugs performed best, but well off what pellets have done.

These Gen 2 slugs are supposedly able to perform well at a wider range of velocities, so I want to see how they perform in the RAW HM1000x air rifles which tend to favor pellets. Anyone with a late HM1000x having good results and if so with which Patriot slugs? Bruce

If you're into tuning the Huma adjustable regulator is much more convenient to make adjustments with.

When was your HM1000x manufacturered?

I don't have time to confirm which HUMA adapter, but if you ask HUMA they will tell you or sell you the adapter. Don't forget the proper seal.

It needs an adapter, you can contact Huma and ask them for the part number. The flat washer is needed too, so get that part number as well.

Huma does not make a regulator tester for the RAW HM1000x. There is a fairly easy workaround, I replaced the RAW air pressure gauge which for many reads about 50 or 60 psi high (I think they are junk gauges) and replaced it with a Sekhmet 25mm Digital Mini Pressure Gauge and compared it with...

Why don't you confirm Martin's settings so you can always return to them. Depressurize the gun, insert a digital pressure gauge into the action and pressurize the gun and fire three or four empty rounds to stabilize the pressure and note it. Then with the action if the stock unscrew the hammer...
