THANKS, GUYS !! The one set of things that seems to be unanimous is FLAT TOP PISTON AND VALVE. And it looks like those are pretty reasonable price wise. I think I will make those my starting point ! 

OK, I am a new member and can't seem to navigate with search, so I will start this as a new topic. What are the best mods, NOT including a longer barrel or stock (I don't want a carbine, only a pistol) to increase power in a Crosman 1322 ? And what gives the most "bang for the buck" ?, no pun...
