Yes but once you get it you have it and the cheaper vevor does pretty well too. But I have the GX C3 it works well but yes it is way better than a hand pump.

I have had good luck with my compressor the GX C3 pump and it is very reliable and it is cheaper from the gx site with a code instead of on amazon.. It is air cooled so no need for a water setup!!

Its a little to dark once i put a spot of danish oil i need to mix it lighter or try the artist oil paint mixed with mineral spirts. Crappy part is that company declined my order of minwax antique oil finish. Said it is out of stock lol there site still says its in stock.

I tested it last night with alcohol mixed with wood dye then i put watco danish dark walnut over it and it seemed to blend nice and one section i tried a hickory gel and it covered grain to much. And plain oil was to light. In the past i have used rit dye on older beech stock it was tiger berch...

I have seen videos on minwax antique finish that looks good. Lol but minwax discontinued it, but luckly i found a place that sold a 6 pack case for 85$ shipped lol right after i bought it the price went to 103$. This stuff is selling for 60-80 a can on ebay
