I’m no expert but have seen many, many people comment that the Gamo Urban is the best gun in the lower price range. Guess it has an awesome barrel. I have an Umarex Origin, but do not recommend it due to some quality control and accuracy issues.

The Dreamliner Classic is on my list as well. Seems a really solid option a little over $1k for the synthetic. I can’t think of another traditional rifle at that price point that could compete with the trigger and other features.

Your budget? I started with the Umarex Origin because for $300 you get the gun and the hand pump. Added a $100 scope and pellets and I was shooting. If you have a little higher budget the Umarex Gauntlet 2 looks very compelling, as it has a lot more shots and power. However, you would not want...

I faced the same decision a few months ago and decided on the Origin. Love shooting it and the pump works great. What concerned me about the Avenger was that I would need to buy a tank and/or compressor and that adds a lot of cost. I wasn’t sure if PCPs were for me, and wanted to get started...
