FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

Here's where I am exactly with the Hybrids. I've shot 23, 15 in the mag. Bottle pressure currently just above 180. So, I clearly misread the gauge by a tick mark earlier. So, 232 - 182 = 50 bar for 23 shots, or 2.17 bar/shot. That still puts me short of the pellet count for some reason. I went...

FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

I dropped the power wheel back to 4 for one shot on the last mag of Atomics. That's the hole you see to the bottom of the target in the 2nd pic. I was aiming for the target above that one. So, I turned it back to 7. All other shots were taken at the same setting. Hopefully I'll get a chance to...

FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

Well, that's what my brain has been trying to figure out. The air charge should be the air charge. The gun doesn't know what projectile is in the chamber... I haven't changed anything, so in my mind, the count should be the same. But, that's not what I experienced.

FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

It's the BT VP version. So, 400 cc Al bottle & 600mm barrel. So, with clarity I can shoot down to the 2nd reg, that would be at least another 60 bar. So, I should see about double my initial numbers. ~100+ pellets and 40+ hybrids.

FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

Thanks @N2 Shooter , that makes sense. Matt mentioned around 30 bar delta in the video and I've seen/heard that range mentioned a few times. Sounds like I need to figure out which Chrono to get...

FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

Thanks for the video @N2 Shooter and the tips, @starlingassn . I guess my first question is, shouldn't I be getting more than 54 pellets or 20 Hybrids from a full bottle. I know I didn't shoot all the way down to the reg setting of 150, but close. I used about 60 bar in both scenarios. That...

FX First shots with Hybrid Slugs...

Now that I have a compressor, I can finally start shooting without trying to conserve air. I was doing my best to make the initial fill from SPAW, last until the compressor arrived. I managed to shoot one mag of the FX 18.1s and two mags of the Atomic 15.9s. That took me from ~ 235 to 170 bar...

    GX-CS4 finally arrived...

Good to know. Since I'm just getting started, that would be an easy habit to start. I'll just set the auto shutoff slightly higher than needed, then open the bleed valve at my target. Though, the auto shutoff has an additional safety. It keeps you from having to be right there at the...

    GX-CS4 on sale

    Woah! That's a deal!

    GX-CS4 finally arrived...

What pressure are you pumping to? If I decide to get a cf bottle down the road, I'd be going up to 250 bar. But, that shouldn't be a challenge for the CS4.

    GX-CS4 finally arrived...

The compressor arrived in excellent condition. Instructions are simple and easy. Based on the reviews, I flushed the cooling system with distilled water several times until the water ran crystal clear. I then let the pump run unstressed for a bit to let everything break-in and "seat" property. I...

Adapter for 1/8" BSPP to M10x1

Good idea for water wetter. Trying to decide if it will be stored in the house or the garage. Wife will likely win this one. So, I may need to a go with anti-freeze. The local parts guys don't seem to know if any of their anti-freeze is ph neutral. So, this should be fun!

Adapter for 1/8" BSPP to M10x1

Thank you! Good to know. I just did a test fit of the GX fitting and it seems to fit well and lock on with minimal effort. Though, it is a short collar. Now I just need to flush the CS4 and decide on distilled water or anti-freeze blend...

Adapter for 1/8" BSPP to M10x1

The CS4 literally just arrived. I'll try the supplied QD first. Was just trying to plan ahead as I've read a lot of people having problems with supplied QD's not fitting the foster fitting well. Figured I'd eliminate a potential issue by just using the FX QD.
