Removed everything and there is nothing wrong with the check valve. Did a test with it and it functions fine. I suppose the line wasn't mounted correctly the first time?

if you can set it like this, then it is not the valve stem. measure the distance from the probe block to the back if the gun. Mine sits at 44.53mm. It should be between 44.40mm and 44.70mm. If it is not then the probe is misaligned.

I think it was your valve stem that was loosened by some turns. You checked all the other known problems. I had the same power problems and fixed it by fastening the valve stem. Esting Rowe shows it in 

Nothing goes inbetween, it is simply a sort of drilled internal line that needs to be plugged by the two brass screws. Do not put too much force on the screw , it is the small oring that make it plugged. a36 and a37 are inside the breach.
