the 70 would be an owners mark tho they had it at 70 bar. 70 should be sufficient for an air pistol. Rifles run at 85 or so bar minimum for 12 fpe and go way up from there. Use soapy water or refrigerant leak detector spray to find your o ring leaks.

try cutting the hammer dwell time down to 1500, then work up from there...when I had mine years ago, and it was a 177 also, I ran with the hammer at 1500-1600 dwell time to cut down airflow behind the pellet and wasting more air. Mine was VERY consistent with any 177 pellets I fed it.....your...

hey G...its not cheaper than a boat, you can get a 500 dollar boat with a 25 horse mercury on it, and go have fun on the lake. Or spend a million on a boat and flip it at the lake and total it. Our 8000-10,000 Thomas rifles with accessories are way more than most boats I see ripping around...

I have a few year old barely used MAC 1 - USFT Hunter version, ( straight grip, as opposed to the canted one ) , unregulated tube gun for sale. It is 177 cal, currently shooting 12 fpe, but can easily be pushed to 20 fpe with additional hammer weight screws and more tension on hammer spring...
