Sorry, I didn't explain well enough. I was no advocating shooting unsuppressed. I was saying to ditch the shrouds and thread muzzle end to add a common suppressor. Why add anything on, or over the barrel that may (or may not) create inconsistency to harmonics?

Manufacturers need to move away from putting shrouds over barrels. Shrouds came about as a legal way to muffle the report at a time when it was un-clear whether suppressors were legal or not in the US. Now that it's clear, there is no need for a shroud that adds another source to complicate...

Yep, did the same early this past week. Missed a shot on a ground squirrel because I forgot to dial my turret back down to my zero. I'm sure it won't be the last time that happens..., especially as I get even older.

I 'searched' and found only a couple mentions of the Airgun Capitol suppressor. Anyone using, or have used an Airgun Capitol 'Regular' model on a rifle? How's it working for ya? Average quiet, better or worse than average as compared to other more well known suppressors?
