I in past would run my ED gun R5 at 550 fps. When I would pop squirrel with it. I would just slam em and scoot them. I shot a starling and it was effective. Think like killing with a brick.

I have a group of sparrows that get to live because they have a nest above my chicken run. They chase away birds of prey so it’s the enemy of my enemy is my friend….

Never had a pellet expand when in the correct direction, but backward oh boy! Also don’t recommend.

You can get a .177 hatsan flash QE at UA for 150$ add a gx pump from Amazon for 130 and under 300 you have a pcp set up.

I’m currently trying to decide on a small backpacable pcp for traveling and pesting. I was looking at the compact using the bottle drop adapter for putting a 300 cc up front below the rail and plugging the back to run as a pistol. 🤔

For giggles today I lowered my RTI p1 to about 630 fps with the 25g jsbs. I was able to smack beer bottle tops easy. Now I’m going to do some serious pondering of the shorty b… that would be good fun popping mice and pests in my strawberry patch. At 60yd forgot to say distance.
