    What exactly are these critters?

Looks like a muskrat from the tail.

    Seeking seasoned advice

You will not go wrong with the FX Compact. I have had mine about a year and it is the last gun I will ever buy. Shoots under 1/2" groups at 50 yards and is quiet. You can buy aftermarket suppressors to make it even quieter. Do your part and the pests don't stand a chance!

Diana lp8 grip are no longer available at

That is a shame! I bought a pair about 4 months ago and they are great. For those who never owned an LP8 the stock grips are a joke. They are two piece, with a gap behind the trigger that "bites" you on every shot. I filled the gap with hot melt glue until I found the Gailbraith wood grips.

    FX wildcat trigger mod?

If it were me I would order a replacement spring or two from FX. Then you can experiment all you like. If it does not work just pop in a new spring and you are back to shooting. Good luck!

    Red dot scope.

I have two of the UTG micro dot sights on my pistols. The are tiny and work great. Currently $72 on Amazon.

    Lead pellets in mouth.

I'm not a chemist, but metallic lead (pellets) is not dangerous. It is lead salts (lead acetate) that was found in lead paint and other uses.

Not sure what to think weighing JSB

You have discovered the limitations of mass production. JSB makes hundreds of millions of pellets. They strive for a certain weight, but tolerances will vary. I was in manufacturing for 40 years and was driven nuts by people in QC who thought zero deviation from the norm was possible.

    Cleaning procedure, what's yours?

I don't clean at all, even after many, many thousands of pellets. This is 10 years of shooting 5 different PCP,s. Still as accurate as I can shoot.

I guess I'm a little slow to understand how this mod helps. Please clarify. Thanks!

    Moderators - Sound off

Note to Bluecup on silent targets. A box filled with rubber mulch is totally quiet except for the sound of the pellet hitting paper. Mine is made of wood, but a cardboard box will work just fine.

I'm not impressed with 1 inch groups at 100 yards

Naive is correct! Even $5000 powder burners do not guarantee that level of accuracy. Simply put, do not try headshots at 100 yards.

    Marauder carbine (P-rod)

Try Henry Ford in Myrtle Beach SC. He just did a 10" barrel for my Crosman 600. [email protected]. Great guy to deal with.

    Marauder carbine (P-rod)

IMO a stock P-rod will be all anyone needs for squirrels. If you need over 20 shots you are in squirrel heaven or need a little more practice. A longer barrel and shroud is available from quite a few sources. I use my P-rod for shots out the back window up to 20 yards, them grab my FX wildcat...

    FX Wildcat magazine cycling alignment

When you load the mag you must manually turn it until you hear it click it place. Then be sure to pull the lever all the way back. If you still have problems call FX. I had a little learning curve when I got mine last August. No problems since then.

New 2019 .22 cal Benjamin Marauder regulated with LW barrel

I own a .22 and .25 Marauder. Fresh from the factory they grouped about 2" at 50 yards no matter the pellet choice. I spent $150 each for LW barrels, now shoot 1/2" at 50 yards. Well worth the cost for me. Supposedly Crosman makes better barrels now, but it is a crapshoot.
