    FAS 6004 - backyard sniper

I used to use a similar tape for fixing steering servos to the chassis plates of my on-road RC race cars. Pretty strong stuff if you apply it correctly. I'll keep you updated on the rail if I can make it workable.

    FAS 6004 - backyard sniper

So my Concept Lite is away from home for a little barrel experiment and I needed my airgun fix for the day so I thought I'd bring out my FAS 6004. I tried zapping a few starlings and missed so I decided to true up the sights with my current ammo. At 20 yards after my third 5 shot group to sight...

Weird barrel/accuracy issues - Brocock Concept Lite

It has an O-ring at the base of the threads at the receiver end, as well as at the muzzle end. The shroud (on my Concept Lite that is, haven't seen the XR setup) isn't what I would call a "stressed member" in the assembly and doesn't contribute to barrel rigidity. It floats at a micro level...

    Pyramid Air Discount?

Dang. I ordered a bunch of stuff and didn't know this. I'll remember for next time.

Weird barrel/accuracy issues - Brocock Concept Lite

Quick update: Did some testing today. A little windy, hence my groups have 1-2 that are left/right by a half inch or so. I learned a few things. 1. Bare barrel w/ no shroud or suppressor is L O U D. 2. Bare barrel with no shroud/suppressor is TWICE AS ACCURATE AS WITH SHROUD. I tested...

A question - are longer barrels more accurate?

Accuracy will stay the same or improve. Velocity *might* go down if the current air charge takes the entire barrel length to fully expand and impart all of its energy to the pellet. But I seriously doubt it. Without a moderator I think you'd be able to tell that the shorter barrel is louder...

    IMPACT COMPACT FINALLY ARRIVED😍

Great looking setup. It's been puzzling to me why all manufacturers don't have similar models since airguns aren't NFA regulated. Short barreled carbines are perfect for stuff inside 100 yards.

    Review: Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56mm

$700 street price and they're made in China. Not super happy about the China thing but these days the options are limited at that price point.

    Review: Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56mm

Short answer: totally worth the money, great features and very good glass for the price. Longer answer: Excellent feature set: locking turrets, illuminated reticle, zero stop, PARALLAX DOWN TO 15 YARDS Available in both MIL and MOA- MIL scope has 31 MIL vertical adjustment which is pretty...

Recommendation for gunsmith for airgun barrel

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! and Yo, that is very generous of you to offer! Yo, where I'm going with all this is that I'm thinking about experimenting with barrel design itself not just replacing the (possibly defective) factory barrel with another one of the exact same design. Every...

    Brocock Concept Lite @ 90 yards / 3" plate

Yes I have bubble levels but I wasn't using one then. I usually don't employ them on anything inside 200 yards. I know air rifles have much more trajectory than firearms but I regularly shoot my .22lrs to 400 yards with no level. I'll start paying attention to it when i get out to 800 yards or...

A question - are longer barrels more accurate?

No, longer barrels are not more inherently accurate. Of course there's limits to everything- if the projectile isn't sufficiently stabilized before it leaves an extremely short barrel then there will be issues. When using iron sights longer barrels allow for increased sight radius and *that*...

Recommendation for gunsmith for airgun barrel

I have this idea about rebarreling my Brocock Concept Lite. I can get a barrel blank from Lothar-Walther that will work and I would like recommendations for gunsmiths that would be able to machine it to fit my rifle. Any help is greatly appreciated.
