The simple OP question should offer a simple answer. Yes, the copper will add a layer between your fingers and the lead. As some have mentioned, gloves will add the extra protection.

Found my leak! Look at your atmospheric blead hole on the right side of your Impact. Small leak over a few weeks is a thing to troubleshoot. A bit of soap an water is cheap and affective. C39 19790 O-ring 10x1,5 NBR90 A bit of a challenge, but most can do it with patience.
