Well my POI is not changing but it can be very aggravating to flip up the lens caps. The cool gun on a really hot humid day puts a fog on the outside lens of the scope and can ruin your clear view. And what’s worse the squirrels around my parts shoot back. It can get very dangerous.

I also agree with Neil and Ted. And think how great it looks when you pop open the case and calmly install the unit. You will score high on points by looking impressive.
