EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

I have the say that now that I've gotten a 0.25/350mm L2 set up how I wanted and have gotten used to the trigger, my groups have improved dramatically. Most of my shooting with the L2 will be between 25-40 yards with 50 yards being the outer limit and within that range, the L2 is more than capable. I understand people trying to do 75yd, 100yd and beyond but I would never expect that out of my L2 and would use my other rifles for those distances.

Curious how yours is set up. I have a 350mm .25 coming in a couple months or so and I am gathering info. Sounds like you arrived at a spot where you are happy.

I intend to shoot 34s around 820-850. I have recently heard of folks getting 880 with more room in setup as well.

@dbal, if you are in the UK that means that as you well know the UK leaves the EU in 3 weeks ish. So....any Eu related taxes you have paid, say if you ordered the gun from Joost or Francisco, then that tax you paid should be deducted upon shipment. Or you can reclaim it. Does this make sense? That is if you receive the gun after Jan 1 2021.

p.s. If you haven’t already thought about the above.

Joe, I didn't actually set it up myself but the goal was to shoot the 25.4g JSB's in the low 800fps. I've yet to confirm the actual fps and just got my chrony out to do so but battery was dead because I forgot to turn it off after the last use. So will have to wait for Amazon to deliver some more batteries tomorrow before I can check the fps.

@yenniedn how is your STD from shot to shot in your 25? I am averaging 4.5 FPS to 5 FPS shot to shot in .177. Where these people are getting 1 FPS STD is a big hhhhuummm to me. I know it is timing on the trigger, but I am getting decent groups out to 40-50.

See above . . . was just getting the chrony out to check the numbers but no batteries until tomorrow. I don't expect to see a 1fps STD, that's absurd. 4.5-5fps sounds pretty reasonable.

If anyone is interested in the low power capabilities of the L2 using the nozzles I’ve just completed my tune, I’m in the U.K. and whilst I own fac rifles the L2 for me is off ticket and intended for short distance low power rat/barn shooting so 11fpe was the goal, My L2 is .22 350mm, I don’t have a reg tester yet to confirm but going on the 5 mins of adjustment = 10 bar I’m estimating the reg to be around 65-70bar, I’ve installed 2 x 1.0mm nozzles and transfer port is 3mm, I’m right at my target of 11fpe and using approx 1bar of air per shot, I have a 220cc bottle fitted and am able to get 200 shots from a 260 bar fill down to 60 bar, very happy with this set up and can’t Thank Francisco enough for all the help and support he has provided me from the start

Joe - I have the .25/450mm barrel and with 0.2/0.5 nozzles I am getting 34gr pellets @ 900fps with the reg at 150 bar. I don't think there is too much more room to go hotter than that. With this setup I believe your 350mm barrel could realistically be in the 820-850 range.

One thing I have found with the above setup is the 25gr .25 pellets shoot pretty terribly when they are up around 950-980fps. Seems like it's just too fast for them.

Here is a table of nozzle combinations and the resulting total area. I find it quite interesting. It will be even more interesting when we begin to see lots of results. As a rule of thumb, dwell duration is inversely tied to total nozzle area. Long dwell needs small area... For low energy guys, I think somewhere in the table we have to start using transfer port ID to maintain backpressure to cycle the mag. I am wondering if there is also a trend in optimum reg pressure that will show some sort of pattern with the nozzle sets. It seems logical that each caliber, barrel length and projectile can be optimized in this platform.

@leatherman I don't have the nozzles. I have 1 original nozzle and 1 blanked hole in my valve as supplied with my .30 cal order. It states nothing on the nozzle so can't give you this info.

The question is what I did to achieve what I have with mine, and I supplied this info above and as per previous posts on page 56.

Currently I see no need for the nozzles as you can see my fps is very consistent

Thanks
