What springer did you shoot today?

Best time of the year. 79F sunny no bugs. Started with a R9 .22 cal. It sets the bar way up. Very nice accurate gun.View attachment 594601Next rifle, a cousin, a HW98 .177. This gun is as serious as a heart attack.View attachment 594602Couldn’t stop. So happy I wired lites in for the range. They’re going to be used now.
This is a Pro Sport .177. And it just raised the bar. View attachment 594603Another Air Arms, a TX200 .22 cal. All guns were phenomenal.
Got to like the lites. Gives me endless shooting as the sun disappears.View attachment 594608Crow

New to this site and love it. First, I want to say there are a lot of serious air gunners here, with some pretty awesome air guns. Personally, I have numerous traditional firearms, but I keep my 20 year old Gamo CFX in .177 for pest control around the property. It's always done the job for me, so I haven't looked further down the rabbit hole for something better, although joining this site is making that most difficult. Anyway, set up a makeshift bench today, took about 10 shots to check the scope, and put 5 shots on this target at 25 yards. No wind, target was about 10' lower than bench. 8.3gr RWS Superdome field line pellets, rifle chrony's at 840 fps.

mail just got here 4 PM going out to try JTS .22 18.80 gr wadcutters , HW77 long .

5 pm JTS shot very good . nice clean pellets . 1/2 inch groups @ 30 yards , 3/4 inch spinner @ 48 yards , a little shy of the JSB but these are what i would call simi wadcutter as the JTS has a larger slanted rim around the flat nose .

After supper 2 of the finest. A HW90 .20. A hidden gem. Love this gun.

Then the HW98 .20.
When I got this gun I expected it to be best of the best. It was the worst of the worst. After break in it is best of the best. What a sweet gun.
The sun is going down facing WNW. 66F

I’ve been bragging I never caught this all summer. 3 times last year. Poison Ivy. When it goes red it’s still a PITA. Crow

I too have two of those sport models as well as two of the earlier 124d models. I wish they had made the trigger guard more of a rounded classic style, but have grown to like the aesthetics of it. The machined safety is much better than the formed sheet metal in the older gun. If they had just made it as easy to cock as the older gun it would be perfect.

I like the trigger guard.
I’m keeping one iron sights and one scoped. Mine are nasty to break. Great guns. Crow

Out for a night shoot with a HW30 .20. Love this gun. Have a Walnut .20 on order now. Can’t wait for this one. Special.

And the last for the night a HW30 .22 cal. Check mate. One of the favorites. Outstanding accuracy. The lites allow me to easily watch the flight path of the pellet. So cool. Night shooting is also a favorite.

@crowski I’m glad I’m not the only nut shooting under lights. I do it since after my son goes to bed is the best time. I shot my R7 177 today. I took an intermission from the target at 25y to shoot two invasive lizards at 17 yards. I didn’t expect a lot shooting the 25y target. It was a windy day and those 7.33 gr aren’t the best at bucking it, and I’m a poor springer shooter haha.
The rifle still has under 2000 pellets through it. I don’t know why #23 and #25 struck so low. I will have the labradar running next shoot to see if that will tell me anything.
