HATSAN SAD

I was just at Midway USA , and read a review on the Hatsan Factor Sniper Long. The guy bought one , and had to return it to Hatsan as it was factory defective. Not long ago when I first joined here I read about the bad Hatsan customer service. I therefore never purchased a Hatsan because of that . I feel for this guy at Midway USA he returns his rifle after dishing out over a grand 4 months ago , and nothing. He is only one to review there.
People that don't belong to this Airgun Nation forum are getting bad business with Hatsan. Should we as a Nation turn our heads , and look the other way ? HATSAN has a bad reputation for the worst Customer service in the world.
Yes the world not just customers in U.S.A. but everywhere they sell. Some people here say I got a good one because I had to return it to Pyramid Air 3 times untill I did. That guy did not know to buy from Pyramid. Why do our sponsors sell stuff from a place that has has such a bad reputation.? So many times I heard the same story Hatsan won't answer the phone , or return my e mail. I want to stand up for anyone in the world having been hurt dealing with this company.
I think we as a Nation , and our sponsors should inteven, and boycott them untill they improve there products, customer relations , EDIT QUALITY CONTROL , and stop the hurt on the little guy. IMHO it's nothing more than a slap in the face to see Hatsan products anywhere. OV.

Because people will continue to buy the brand because of price. No matter the quality.
I understand this reply , but the price was very high for the guy at Midway a $1,000 + for nothing. And Quality there is none at all for him. That's why we need to stand together around the world , and not let the low price nothing for a $1,000+ be available to anyone anymore.

I think most reasonable people doing their due dilligence prior to a purchase would easily find that Hatsan doesn't have a fantastic reputation. Unless they take some time to research, they might miss that detail. The simple fact is that probably 90% of the people out there buying airguns have never visited this site (or others like it) and will make that purchase because it comes in a few dollars less than a Marauder and gee whiz look at those velocity numbers! Not sure what you can do about that.

i'm very new to airguns. That said, prior to delving deeper into the subject i think many trust a well known seller to carry good quality products and offer dependable service...so i don't think it's out of the order or irresponsible to consider going to a well known shop such as for example MidwayUSA.

Sure, caveat emptor and always best to carefully research and read threads and reviews but, once upon a time i worked countless hours a day....i didn't either have the knowledge, experience or to be frank, the time to do all of that...and i would just go to a trusted online seller with a good reputation and fair prices.

i guess i understand

Only thing we can do make a post like this to boycott them.

Midway simply told the guy we can't help you go to Hatsan poor guy I wish I could tell him about Pyramid. But I bet for the lesson he learned at that experience of loosing a $1,000 he will never buy a Hatsan product ever again , neither will I.

The guy who paid $1,000 for a Hatsan from Midway will just have to learn from his impulsive decision. If you can’t stop guys that openly know they are buying a lottery gun from doing it, all you can do is sit back and watch. Hatsan is not the only one who makes guns that need to be sent back ten minutes after receiving them. But I think it would be safe to say that 80%+ of AGN already boycotts them.

I lurked here for months before committing to my first airgun. No regrets a year later.
Like @rcarlisle said, Gotta put in the work.
Yes I understand that . It's the good people that don't have this great nation , or understand why that is allowed to happen to them I'm concerned about. The guy said he would contact BBB , but again another innocent person not checking with BBB , and reading his report will undoubtedly get served the same pain. These good people could someday join us , and I almost felt obligated to make this post as it could have happened to me.

I'm glad many here have learned , but it's sad some even here had to learn the hard way. Will we as a Nation let the people who buy airguns learn from there mistakes , and I don't think he openly knew it would be like this.

Good thing no one else makes bad or problem guns .. lol .

Don’t carry the burden of guys and guns upon your back. You will drive yourself nuts. For example, I’ve seen this a hundred times over the years. A member asks a question about a gun or product. To a bystander viewing the topic, there is more negative than positive. But the guy buys it anyway. Once a guy is in love, he seeks out positive to validate his decision. Kinda goes blind to the negative. It’s just how it is. So sit back and watch. Entertainment versus burden. Don’t stop giving people informed opinions or facts when they ask a question, but don’t concern yourself about anything after that.

I realized when , and before I made this post this would happen you said " Seen this a 100 times over the years" , and done nothing. You said " so sit back , and watch" I said should we as a Nation turn our heads. It's the same ol story for some climb Mt Parnassus , or lay on the feather bed. It's easy real easy to so back , and watch it happen.
It's harder to do something about it which is obviously my choice here OV.

It's the whole business thing as well.
I mean sure Hatsan has some great products if they work. Look at Nate's review of the exact same gun this guy got taken by. " Airgun of the Year " he said. HATSAN Factor Sniper Long !
Oh hell yeah I wanted one loved it power man 81 ft- lbs of energy from a .22 cal That's Amazing if it works.
Does Gamo you mentioned have bad customer service ? HW RMA 3 times So that sounds like good CS to me.
HATSAN don't give a damn about making things right. Sure in a industry where you have multiple thousands of product's some will be bad , but no one other company wants to loose face , but prefer a good customer relations.
HATSAN will you answer this phone.
I'm here help shut down your business completely. OV.

Yes with any product if you research it for a whole year you should be able to make better decision I hope. I even posted the "$2,000 dollar gun" to learn.
A lot of guys said " if I could do it all again" I learned a lot , and I am very grateful. If a person bought into a airgun , and had problems the manufacturer would have a responsibility for their product except Hatsan. They don't care. OV.
