Daystate Blackwolf owners discussion

Those are some wacked out breech oring sizes...
No way in **** that any of them are correct. Find another source of info.
It's likely that the Ghost or DW breech orings will cross reference but I don't have a Black Wolf...
Bob
I pulled those diagram from official daystate website as directed by the owner's manual.

But now actually googling the o-ring size, it's definitely incorrect or confusing. Someone is asleep at Daystate that's for sure. Looking at the DW's guide to check for reference, it's even worse as it's not listed.

Good evening everyone, I just posted on a separate thread about my Blackwolf rear scope mount being loose. First I thought it is a different rail since it looks different but then I realized that 4 different rings are loose on the rear and tight on the front rails section. My measurements seem to support this, assuming my imperfect way of measuring it is the same front and back. I would love to know what width on the Picatinny rails you guys have on your rifles. Mine seem to be 20.14 on the rear and 20.8 on the front.

@drdirk - what type mounts or rings are you using?
I have heard that the rear BW pic rail is machined smaller than normal - I didn’t have a problem using Burris picatinny rings.
I also learned that the insert in the top of the rear picatinny section is too thin and if mounts are overly tight it affects the pellet probe as it cycles - AOA has a replacement for it.

Isn’t it great a new very expensive air rifle and the pic rail isn’t sized right! Thats just wonderful!

I used Monstrum pro, Barrett rings from my 50 cal powder burner and 2 short picatinny rings I had as spares that do not have a manufacturer mark. All of these rings have worked fine on other guns.

That shouldn’t be. I can not think of a valid reason to manufacture a rail narrower than the spec. since my mount was supposed to be temporary I tightened it only to 18 or 20 in lb.

The width of a pic rail is not as critical to fit as is the distance from the top surface to the bottom angled surfaces. That measurement is difficult to obtain accurately. A shim between the top of rail and ring can tighten things up but it will also shift the ring horizontally to the non-clamped side. Hope you get it sorted out.

update:
i pulled the scope and measured both front a back sections of the picatinny rails.
I measured in several sections along both front and back Rails.
I’m not a machinist so bear with me. Both
The front section and the rear sections widths varied from 20.86 mm wide to 21.07 in width. My observation is that they are the same, as both sections are varied the same depending on where you place the micrometer.
i had no problem with my Nightforce rings being able to properly secure the scope.
the gun was still at zero when the scope was reinstalled.
