Golf Balls

NEVER shoot anything concave! Very good chance it will come back at you. I learned this the hard way with a 357 PB. I shot at an old shovel sticking in the dirt. That bullet came back so close I heard it wizz past my ear! The reason golf balls ricochet is because of the dimples. When a pellet hits the concave. dimple it comes straight back. That's why they say to get rid of gongs or steel targets when they get dished out.

Shambozzle,
I saw these pics in your other thread.
I glued paintballs to cardboard with hot glue but the impact on one ball would often knock off a nearby ball.
The balls seemed a little slick. This is sounding weird but anyway - do you or anyone else for that matter find this to be the case and if so do you wash them.

Jeez I cant' believe I just typed that but I am seriously asking about paint balls.

This will work!!!

Are cheese balls food, really🤔?

You mean that there ARE other things to eat than cheese puffs/balls? LOL!

As for shooting golf balls... I learned to hard way to not shoot them... especially with a lower powered airguns.

No injury or damage, but had a very close call to my person and a window. Picked the pellet out of the metal screen on my storm window!

I think the surface being concave has little to nothing to do with it. Even flat metal targets are usually hung loosely or angled so that the pellet is deflected downward toward the ground. A golf ball is made to "bounce back" and if not penetrated will act like a spring on the pellet/projectile.

JMHO

All my best!

I have to admit, i really enjoyed shooting the scopes that came with our Gamos.
Still not sure what you mean... but if you mean what I think you mean... that is probably what I should have done with the two Center Point scopes that I had that came on an airgun in a "combo" deal! (chuckle) Both were fixed 4x scopes and really sucked.

Actually, I gave both of them away. One of those people is still using theirs AFAIK, but they have no idea how bad it really is. (shrug)

I guess free means more than good to some... (smile) And when you aren't financially able, free does mean quite a bit.

You are correct, they were hung from a branch and shot to pieces. Gave me much enjoyment.

I like these ideas and it got me thinking maybe a bulk buy of "sidewalk chalk" that some parents buy for their kids. It comes in sticks, but might be easily cut or broken down into smaller disks for targets?

We had a box of expired creamers. The small ones you get at the gas stations. Those are pretty fun. Wish I had more.

LOL! Thanks for the confirmation! (grin)

Now, I have to get back to Breaking Bad again after 10 years. Found a free and legal way to watch the entire series on archive.org, including El Camino.

There also is the watergel balls, or snot balls as i call them, but they are problematic in that they are fragile as it is pretty much gello consistency.

But quite rewarding when you hit them, not so much if you just grace them.

PS: that Gorilla glue look much like a glue we used in Wood class in school, funny enough here we called in monkey snot, but i can not remember if there was a gorilla on the label, this was back in the 70ties.
