N/A Which game changer do you like the best?

I already paid for a stubby walnut DRS. I was chirping away about how dumb it would be if they only offered it in blowgun power levels. Someone sent me a link to the DRS with normal power and a nice shot count for its limited capacity and max pressure. Had to put my money where my mouth is. Now I wait. Filling a gun nowadays is almost a joke compared to hand pumping like a madman years ago. The minimalist approach is very appealing to me. I’m just not into the whole harpoon looking gun PRS thing. If I was, the heck with bottles. I’d try one if it gave me the shots I needed to complete what I needed to complete. I’m just not going to be toting around one of those things unless I’m competing with it. Hoping the classic will enable me to sell two of my other .22’s if it’s lovable. Not selling anything yet. If it requires a big mod that puts it at 40+ inches, someone will be getting a good deal when I sell it.
I really dig the classic one as well. Are you saying they do offer it in FAC?

FX shows 43-73FPE depending on caliber for the 700mm Pro version. I assume the shorter sport versions will be available in the freeworld power levels as well, since they also list those at ~29.5FPE in 22 Cal for example.

Pic of the JTS stealthhawk. This looks like the Vought to me, with the coupling half way down the barrel, safety? in front of the trigger, and more substantial bolt, M30's don't have those.
I really like the COB, but I really wouldn't like 50 o-rings. Anyway it will be cool to see how things turn out on these cool looking air guns. This would be the thing to finally push me into getting a PCP

So far it seems to me like there is probably one Chinese cylinder over barrel rifle with a few variations. For the Remington, JTS, and Barra I mean.

I thought Andy of AAR said the Remington was a snowpeak M30 copy, but then Tpatner412 said the JTS wasn't a M30 copy, so I'd really like to know.
I remember I tried to research who made the Remington since Remington Outdoors is no more, and I could not find any information

I've only truly been into airguns again (since the late 1960's) for a relatively short time, and only got into PCPs within the last 5 years, but true game changers??? What is the definition?

Define what is a true "game changer"?

I haven't seen one yet. Not one that truly fits that definition for me, especially when it comes to price based on performance and the cost of maintenance.

All my best!

'Game changers' are often marketing ploys to get you to spend/invest in a business. Nothing remarkable or game changing has developed in quite a few years for pcps. One could argue semi auto, but the K1 has been around for ages and has done that just fine...Altering where the air is stored is not game changing....I personally am not fond of it whatsoever, barrel swaps/caliber changing and air tube maintenance on these sounds like a major pain...a step back more than a step forward in my book.

I have been thinking it.
Thanks for saying it so I don't have to.

I do enjoy reading about new products, but I see nothing to inspire me to crack open my wallet.
When any one of these "game changers" prove to shoot better, be more reliable, and easier to service than what I already have, then I will take a look.
Until then, I will shoot what I have and love every minute of it.

I don't remember if he said it was but his wording on both of his reviews (M30 and Rem) about their features was the same. The Remington version has a much better stock in my opinion. It seems the M30's stock was just a quick cut out chunk of wood with a poorly designed and weak looking wrist without enough vertical angle. If I had one I would probably be trying to make a stock if it shot well enough.

Yes, the stick of dynamite would at least be going off two feet in front of your head.
Yeah I don't think this has any more potential to go boom than any other tube airgun. It's not like it's a PB with 50K psi blasting through a barrel or anything. I'd be willing to bet there were many multiples more of the M30 sold compared to the L2 also.

Better than sub 12 for sure. I wonder how many shots per fill at that velocity. I haven't seen the capacity or plenum size for the standard. I think I red 150 bar.
Classic .177 .22: 208 cc

Classic .25: 260 cc

PRO: 307 cc

Check out the FX info page I linked above, has some details. Plenum (located in the fake magazine) size will depend on model and caliber, but I dont know that FX has released that info yet.

Do they all have a shroud ahead of the air tube? They’ve been popping up so fast, I haven’t really been able to assess that. My concern would be dropping a unshrouded one off a bench and having it land on the muzzle. It’s happened a few times in my multi-decade forays. There, I’ve confessed to being a klutz and feel much better. Perhaps these air filled tubes are as strong as solid titanium - I don’t know - but I’d like to know before the muzzle hits the floor and it goes off like a rocket.

Forgive me if this has already been talked about in this thread, but how many more O-rings does this configuration require? And how much more trouble is it to simple clean the barrel?

I am asking because I simply don't know.

As far as aesthetics go, I like the look, but wonder about the serviceability, reliability and costs of maintenance, etc.

Of course, until they have been out in the field for at least 2 or 3 years... nobody knows for sure.

All my best!
