California Airgunners

Was before my time there but they still have a statue of ole Bosco by the post office
Come shoot with me at the Diablo Rod and Gun club every Wednesday 9 to 12pm. There is a bunch of great guys shooting all types of pcp. I normally shoot 200 yards from lane #9

Been meaning to get up to airgun Wednesday for a while. My wife and I got a baby boy coming any day now so it will probably be a while yet but I look forward to making it up there in the not too distant future

Is that a separate range than the powder burner rifle range? I only remember them having a 100yard range there
Yes, a separate range for airguns and rim fire. At the MPR- Multi Purpose Range, rim fire 22 cal. can shoot 200 yards. At the moment the MPR is being retrofitted for center fire 22 cal. But not sure when center fire will begin.

As big as Cal can be, it almost seems impossible to find somewhere to shoot or someone to shoot with, in Marin, Sonoma & Napa County.

It's why I joined this place... cos after dithering for years I finally bought an air rifle and was casting about looking for Clubs in NorCal....
from what I see in this thread there are a decent # of folks in this/these area(s).... perhaps with our collective intelligence, charm and good nature we can come up with an idea of where to create a small airgin club and maybe manage to secure a permission on some ranch/farmland for a humble set up?

STILL there is NOTHING in Marin, Sonoma, or Napa County.
S Ranch isn't even worth it.
I work in Berkeley but we're moving to San Leandro next year... it does look like a solid set up

I shoot at Circle S range from time to time to shoot 300 yards. Yes, I'm the airgunner and get strange looks at my setup and can't believe I can MOA at 300 yards with my Texan .257 LSS.

The MPR-multi purpose range, at the Diablo Rod and Gun club in Concord is still the best Airgun range in the Bay Area.

Thanks for the tip... if I recall they are limited for .25 to once a week?

.30 is max caliber for airguns. Airguns shoot Wed and Fri 9 to 12 all year.
