Testing, testing 1... 2... 3...

I'm pretending that I'm new to airguns. I have had some bb guns and pellet guns as a kid and I have a mutlipump pellet rifle that has horrible accuracy now.

I have a rat problem at my chicken coop in suburbia and it's a 20 yard shot from my back door to the front of the coop.

I need a gun with multi shot capabilities for quick follow up shots, accurate to hit a rat at 20 yards, not too powerful or loud 'cause I have neighbors. My budget is $500 for the whole set up gun, scope (AO down to 10 yards) and a way to charge the gun with air.

What do you recommend?

Thank you! 🙏🏼 👊🏼

+1 for Notos - it's cheap, accurate, and it shoots CPHP very accuarately
I haven't used a Bugbuster but I own the Notos and it's a great gun for 20yd shots.
I was using an Amazon $30 red dot on mine and was amazed at what the Notos could do.
I put a scope on it and things just got better...

++++1 on the BugBusters, they are on my break barrel and a few of my PewPew's, but frankly, at 20 yards, I'd use a red dot with a 3x magnifier, todays hint don't crank it up all the way on brightness. Hole above finger is Colman Hollow Points at 20ish yard with a Sapsan, 900fps, 10 shots less than one minute of rat. Second photo are aluminum pellets, perking along at 1,000 fps.

Don't have a Notos (yet), but I've read a lot of good reports on it. I do have a 3-9 IR AO Bug Buster and it's a darn good budget scope. Have had mine mounted on some hard shooting springers and it's held up with no problems. The illuminated reticle model is great for low light conditions. The Hawke Vantage 2-7x32 AO is another solid piece of budget glass.

I thought I read 1 person saying the notos, out of the box, wasn't as quiet as they expected and thought is was louder than what would be considered back yard friendly with Karen's nearby(maybe other owners can confirm or deny this). I don't own 1 but I have read alot of good things about them and im assuming you can adjust the power for lower noise levels if needed. In that price range you will be hard pressed to find something better than the notos.

I think it's back yard friendly but I have a big back yard, lol.
Let me put it this way. I was target shooting and a squirrel didn't react to the shot, it was only alarmed by the pellet hitting the target.

If you do find it too loud, there are people getting good results 3D printing a new moderator. They've made a short and long version, short being the same length as stock. It seems they are even better than the stock one.

Notos tested out of the box is 82dB at 10 feet inline with the barrel. NONE on my other airguns rate as low out of the box, period. This was inside my shop with a 37dB background sound level, outside noise levels were 68dB and the Notos measured 76dB at 10 feet.

This is exceptionally quiet out of the box but I wanted as silent as possible so I added a full 8 inches of baffles and opened the housing up to 1" all the way back to fit it in.

DITTO!

You can upgrade it too if you want, later on.

Hello, I hope you are well, I am thinking of updating my notos with a new valve and a carbon fiber tank, the question is the following:

I see that you placed a Z and I wanted to know if the thread measurement of this valve does not require something additional to connect the rifle block with the valve?

This information will help me a lot, greetings.
