Huben Huben pistol ammo choice.

best luck with the VK slugs at 28.5gr and 24gr. Was getting sub 1" groups at 25 yards, and knocked the heck out of some 1.5, 2, and 3 inch spinners at 50 yards. my tune is hitting 803-842-796 across one whole mag on a 4500psi fill. about 43fpe.

Also tried some of the GTO pellets, same tune settings and i didn't chrony them, but 1 hole groups at 25 yards, and decent action on the 50 yard spinners, but not nearly as satisfying a whack. Looks like a great plinking pellet and squirrel/rabbit slug setting!
Cool, thanks for that info brother. I'm going down to Scott City Sunday and finally get some shooting. I've been getting my eye sight under control and it's good now. I live in Cape Girardeau MO. and it's too populated for me to shoot here. I did get to shoot over my chrony with the 18.1 JSB's the other day and out the box untouched it was shooting them at 813 fps and is excellent on air consumption at that speed. I will go heavier and turn it up some. I was very impressed with the power before even turning it up

I have a swage die for .254 slugs. Similar to AVS. The trouble is the shape hits the rifling in the mag slots when fully seating if the slug length is maxed out to 10.9mm. (making a slug weighing 48.6 grains.) A tool is needed to seat them then. To avoid needing a tool I had to shorten to 9.65mm. I've sent these slugs to Corbin, I'm going to have a die made that makes slugs that are pointy enough to avoid the rifling and that arent hollow points. They should weigh 48ish grains, but I can always make them shorter and lighter if needed or desired. Keep in mind if you think thats too heavy that people have made 80+ FPE with 44 grain slugs, and that these are also intended for the rifle. Heres the samples that I seated then extracted so corbin can see where the rifling hits and how deep

I am using 25gr Redesign at 850fps filling to 300bar with superb accuracy out to 37yds with red dot scope out of my .22. I would like to setup using a slug but the accuracy that I am getting from the pellets are hard to beat. I do not seat the pellets as I don't seat the pellets or slugs in my K-1's neither.

GKi in 22 caliber, Pellet shooter , I have found the JTS 18.1 gr pellets fit the magazine snug, I still have to seat the pellet three at a time with a pen, I tried the JBS 18gr pellets and had a jam as the pellets would slide back and forth in the magazine,, Not tried any other pellets yet, But keep hearing the non lead pellets shoot very good , If they dont fit tight I am not shooting them,,, Any other pellets out there any good?

I agree. Fun to explore but there’s really no need to shoot slugs out of a pistol. Pellets will always be more accurate out to 70y. Beyond 40-50y, a pistol is invariably the wrong tool for your job.

The reason for my GK1 is to take along in the treestand while deer hunting and pop squirrels. So, that is why I wanted it setup for slugs.
I use slugs out of my K-1 for years and it is a killing machine, absolutely love it.
But, if the GK1 doesn't like them its not a deal breaker. I do like the quick follow-up shots. And it really likes the Redesign pellets and I use them as well in my K-1 for crow hunting so I have a good supply.
On another note as far as pellet seating in the GK1 or the K-1, I never found the need to. I have owned several K-1 and I mean several and never seated the pellets or slugs. Jamming issues occur for a number of reasons
Maybe it just doesn't like the pellet or slug you are trying to use.
Shooting it down to low pressure to operate the pistol or rifle.
Barrel to magazine alignment is off.
Magazine needs the edges chamfered, might have burrs.
The ammo used is not correct for the air supply. Such as reg and power wheel settings on the K-1. Everything has to be setup correctly for perfect harmony.

I see! Pellet resistant squirrels!

Lol. Unless you’re going to be using a decent moderator on it, I hope the deer you are hunting there are deaf.

So went deer hunting this morning and a coon decided to stop by and ended up D.O.A. 10 minutes later a 6pt buck strolled by 10yds from the dead coon. Then 30 minutes later a 8pt decided to eat behind me.

So, I guess my GK1 is quiet enough for the deer woods.

Of course it is you have a decent moderator.

Hmmm...muzzle "flip" again...with 25gr, baby, projectiles ?
Go out, rent a firearm of some sort...anything but a .22, and shoot it for a couple of hundred rounds. THEN...talk about muzzle flip !
Start out with a lowly 9mm, then move up to a .45 or a 10mm. See how THOSE provide...muzzle flip.

Seems than some need some wrist strengthening exercises in their daily routine.

Mike
More or less hold and follow through. I've got a .45-70 handgun 😂 but the recoil and flip is still discernable even on small caliber and relatively low power guns. Practice, practice

Im surprised how inactive this thread is, haha.

Anyone find any good .25 slugs that doesn't turn the GK1 into a maraca? I've been having some trouble getting ammo to fit and stay put. Not just with slugs, but sometimes pellets as wel. So far, H&N's (which is my go-to ammo) all rattle around. JSB kings and hades do sit firmly in place luckily. But I'd prefer heavier ammo.

I read somewhere that the K1 rifle prefers .254 slugs. Has anyone tested this for the GK1 yet?

That is great info,.....10 bucks for 200 rounds ?

There you go. Trust me these are awesome for the price, the only slug I really use anymore because I bought a lot of them cuz they work so well in both my pistol and my regular K1 Huben.

Great find thanks,...that was the reason why I started this thread so people like you can teach us something.

I use these in my GK1, I can get these for $10 a tin. My pistol loves these, accurate and powerful for a great price.

Im surprised these work . I have the apolo 40 grain slugs and they are very loose in the mag and fall right back out if I tilt the pistol up. The apolo 25 and 33 grain pellets however work well.
