If I could only keep "one" rifle it would have to be the HW30S .177, the HW95S .20 and the HW97k .20. Twenty caliber convert

Always love it when razor62 rings the bell! If I could only keep one, first choice would be my 98 in .22, with the .177 50S a close second.

I should own stock in HW. I have 21 HW/Beemans springers and gas rams. But I think if I could only have 1it would be a RWS D56 in 22 cal.

Fantastic gun. My 56T/H .177 will be in my estate sale. For a bench gun it would be neck and neck with my .177 HW97K long barrel. But, I can’t imagine lugging it around the woods all day. For all round gun I still have to go with my .22 HW95. Does everything extremely well. Shoots beautifully off hand and has a significant power edge over the HW50. For a plinker I’m keeping my 1968 Winchester 435/Diana 35 in .177. I don’t think I’ve ever shot anything smoother. Makes a HW30 seem harsh. And spectacular bluing. The way they used to make them. Woods gun is going to be a tossup between the .177 FWB 124 and my .177 HW35E. I’m too weak to make a decision so I’ll just put them both in one case and say I only kept one LOL. Glad I don’t have to choose.

Yep, it's at the fairgrounds just east of Hickory, North Carolina on Hwy 70 (closer to Newton and Conover to be technical). About 3 minutes off I-40, NC exit no. 128, IIRC.

so. I have been thinking about the question a lot . If it was all sunshine and rainbow stew I would keep one But it’s not. So I’ll keep 2 a HW90 in 22 cal and a HW50S 177 and a bunch of powder burners

The 30 for plinking
the 85 instead of the 50 for hunting, more straight shooting, just a thud.
The 97 I don't know as little as the 77. Wanted to buy one and then decided in the last second for the 85 and don't regret.
My observation, too, after some days off, it's off zero, too, while shooting hole by hole again, just another zero. Didn't find the clue to that yet, just can't see why the 77/97 could sort that out. I have the 80 instead which does fine.
About Weihrauch craftmanship:
None of them did decently out of the box. Quite in fact they didn't do at all. Two piston seals (two out of three) missed a big chunk, so they were dry firing. The compression chamber was packed with grease. And the rifles have different depths. Weihrauch answered my request with the change at wear stade ot their cutting tool.
The Rekord triggers are fine to me, but not before switching off the release point and shooting in the first stage. The release point did always need too much load to me
The genuine spring guides broke into pieces after about 5 cycles. So any of my HW springers has a special homemade spring guide except the 85 which has a Diana plastic guide which does well.
Just one to keep? The 85 which is the smothest, most consistent and straightest shooter @ .177" and 16 ftlbs.
The 80 is the most powerful at 23 ftlbs
The 35 is my dearest
and the Diana 35 c is my most beautiful one. And the one I shoot most often.
I'm wondering if Weihrauch cares more about their rifles exported overseas. Here in Germany they not seem to care at all, as little as the retailers.
