I have a Pyr and I have a Standard Poodle. Other than being beautiful, sweet, and lovable they’re polar opposites. Can’t wait to hear what that mix is like.

My wife has always wanted a labradoodle until she met a Pyredoodle that a lady I work with owns. My wife was immediately smitten, and we were lucky to find this one at 10 weeks old less than 2 hours away.
He marched right into our house and greeted our Great Dane, Pitbull mix, and Maltese like he had known them forever. They accepted him and he's part of the the family already. After 3 days, I can tell you that he's smart, affectionate, great with cats, dogs, and people. If you're interested, I'll try to post updates as he matures.

This is Kobe, who is a COVID rescue. We got him at the local shelter the day Kobe Bryant died. I am still trying to find out what breeds he is...

Mine is Brea, an Akita German Shepherd mix,great loving dog. My other was Boscoe, a pure bred Akita, big and powerful and with a mind of his own.

Our current two pooches (just turned 13 and 14 this month) are a mom and son duo we got at the shelter a several years back after our other beloved mutts passed away within months of each other at a ripe old age of 13 and 14 as well. We had them since we rescued them as pups. The dogs we have now are some mix of something. Maybe Sheppard? When we got these last ones the shelter was full to the brim with unwanted dogs. All of them begging to come home with us and we picked the ones we did because they told us nobody wanted old dogs and the shelter wanted to keep them together as they were a family and together for years. I asked the people at the no kill shelter why there were so many dogs there and they all agreed it was mostly because of dog breeders. I've been back a few times to the shelter to visit and bring food ours didn't want etc and every time the place is packed with dogs. I don't find anything wrong with breeders but maybe before people go that way they can just visit a shelter and see what their heart tells them.
