American Air Arms All Things EVOL

I am just getting off of the high of shooting my first NRL22 match with my custom 22lr, and it was a blast. While there I was talking to the other shooters about using an airgun, and while I plan on taking one to the next match...... it got me thinking about the Paradigm. I know the Evol has a nice pic rail on the bottom of the air cylinder, I am wondering if anyone has made a full length pic rail, or full length Arca rail for these rifles? Would make it much easier to use the Paradigm and not have to worry about scratching the stock in anyway.

Area419 makes a arca rail that would fit almost perfectly on the Paradigm.

Just some evol goodness to peep

Got the mdttac elite grip on there, atlas monopod, Wylie kanz moderator, I updated the rings from the standard ins eagle visions to the set with the front cantilever, and those sweet sweet mkmachining scope caps and level :)

It really just needs an fc4 now

Let me know how the HPS shoots!! I am talking with Tom to try and get one of those if possible.

I am getting ready to head to the range now and will have the Paradigm out and shooting. Will get some pictures of the rifle and some of the groups it has been laying down lately. Hopefully there will be a gopher on the range that can be "taken care of". lol

** can't hit the range as we have severe thunderstorms rolling through. Will try tomorrow**

Anyone own both the standard 15" Evol & the mini? How do they compare?

If you could only keep one, which would you keep? (asking because I can only afford one)
I've owned both and have the Mini. What are your needs? When I got the 15" not long after my needs for a pesting gun changed where I needed a more compact gun. The mini fit my needs much better so that's what I have now. Do you shoot off a bench more and want more power and or shots? 15" for sure. If want small as possible yet great little 30fpe gun the mini is awesome. Both tuned around 28-30fpe the 15" gets 100+ shots and mini 30+ shots. Some have saw 35-40 but haven't thrown mine over the chrony to really tune it yet. Just kinda left as is.

Love MK Machining! Got all there stuff on my scope for the Mini. Caps just came lastnight. Had level and throw level for along time before though. Got sick of my monstrous caps and went with the best!

Top notch stuff and great customer service too when you need to ask a question.

I don't think either rifle is going is going to stay with the optics they're running, that's my next goal is to get true top teir glass for them but for now what they have works just fine.

I'm about to post my airacuda max .25 for sale even tho it's cheap just because I likely am not going to shoot it anymore haha

I have a mini, HPS, and a Magnon. I know you wanted to know about the standard and the Mini but ill toss this your way anyway. I absolutely love the mini. Its compact and not by any means a pain to tote around or toss in the jeep if I go out. From the box, as I have not adjusted the reg or hammer spring at all its shooting the 18 grain JSBs at 867 fps. Pretty good considering the size. I have no doubt that I could get a good amount more from it if I bumped up the reg some. Actually just put some 21 grain .218 H&N slugs through it at 816 a couple hours ago. They seemed to do really good and did not need to sight in at all going from the JSB pellets. Now my yard is small and I only set up to zero at 12 yards. I could stretch it a bit but thats where Im at. It will stack the slugs basically in the same whole. Im sure that slug could be pushed over 900 fps with some adjustment. The HPS is rather long. The Magnon on the other hand is not to bad size wise. If I was to start over with EvoLs I would go for the mini first. Thats just me though. I tend to favor compact airguns most of the time.

I think the mini is my favorite as well :)

Yup. It totally depends on your needs. I seesawed hard between the 15 and mini. I decided on the 15 because while I tend to gravitate toward compact guns I wanted the better performance. I am happy with my choice. It's not a long gun at 36" and handles like its much shorter due to light weight barrel and tube setup.

Edit for pic. Not as sexy as the mini (imo) but still not bad.

I like it helluva scope you got there! Yeah they aren't long guns at all. Mine outfitted was 37" which most rifle/carbines on the market are longer than that. I just got spoiled by bullpups from 24-28" and the length was much better for my shooting. You can't go wrong with either.

Anyone hear from Tom on the magazine indexing woes? I’ve had messages into him for over a week now, and still crickets. I’m not ready to break out the pitch forks just yet, but it would be nice to have some sort of response, even if it’s a “Im working on it”.
Let me touch base with him again tomorrow morning 🌄 then I'll report back, I'd love for all 4 of my mags to work, not just 3.
