Government officials planning to waste taxpayers money again.

The town of Belvedere in California is having problems with coyotes and is considering hiring snipers from the federal government to eliminate all of them. I'm sure there are many volunteers on this forum they will do it for free. Why pay when you can get it done for free? Because that's what the government always does!

Pretty sure it was way back. I don’t remember where I read it? But I think the original poster said you’d turn it the tail to the game warden and they pay you out. Supposedly he found a pile of tails in the bushes and turned them in. Later he found out that tails tossed in the bushes were the tails the game warden paid the bounty for. Lol.

I lived in the high desert right down the hill from Big Bear but it got to crowded so moved to N AZ on 40 acres off grid. Have to haul all my water and have propane delivered around twice a year. If the propane gets to be a problem I have at least 1000 trees on my property so could heat and cook with wood.

Don't know how old you are, but at some point processing firewood will be rife with logistical problems. Ever hear of solar?....

Only a matter of time that new regulations will outlaw burning wood even in rural area, like many urban areas already have done. It's all in the name of saving the environment! Solar isn't a panacea without big bucks spent on enough batteries to last during the times the sun doesn't shine and those batteries have a limited lifespan. Most people don't really know how many KWHs it takes to run A/C, heat a home or charge a car's batteries. Big time juice that isn't cheap to run on batteries even for 12 hours.

That's where I get my electrical power from my 12 panels. Besides heat my Kohler generator keeps my storage battery charged if there isn't enough sun and runs on propane. My storage battery is like 1 in a fork lift. Heck, to replace it it will cost me over $5k.

Solar isn't that green. It takes a huge amount of copper wire, batteries, etc. etc. add to that that you can't recycle the panels if they break or age out. No thanks.
