Number 1 accessory to improve Accuracy beyond 50 yds?

Alright guys. I have a question for all the veteran PCP'ers. Yes yes I'm a total NOOB! I'm very happy with the performance of my PCP gun and it's accuracy at 50-60yds. Consistently hitting spinners the size of dimes and quarters at 50-60 yards. I'd say I have it fairly dialed in. Unless I'm putting some sort of spotter marking my targets I'm getting them lost in the wood because you literally cant see them with out a scope. I have them placed all over at various distances.

I want to up the ante a little. I want to go further out to about 80-100yds but with my current setup I have some slight shakes on target. I use either sandbags or a crappy bipod and table to help support. Spotting scope and range finder to determine distance. What's the answer here? Do I need a bench rest? Do I need a better bi-pod? Do I need to stop drinking 3 cups of coffee. What's the best way to control the shakes when shooting lets say 80-100 yards? I haven't found the limits of this rifle yet but I think it should be pretty accurate up to 100 yds if not further. In pellet form it likes JSB 18g.

Also is there a good bi-pod that's under $50? again I dont know what I dont know so help me set my expectations. I bought this bipod off ebay and it's total junk!

This is what my base looks like. House sits on a hill so I'm always shooting down into the woods. I have a table, spotting scope, range finder, sand bags, crappy bipod and decent scope

SETUP:
Gun- Kalibrigun Cricket 2
Scope- Primary Arms SLx 4-14x44 FFP Rifle Scope
Table
Sand Bags
bipod

Too much coffee can hinder you, yes. I've seen people painting(usually neon colors) the backside of pellets to see them better during flight. I don't bench shoot much but maybe your platform needs to be more sturdy? Downhill shots are always a bit different compared to a "flat" angle shot. One of my shooting areas is like you described. On areas where I lose my impact points; I setup backstop to help identify where my misses are actually hitting(usually paper or cardboard if windy).
Other areas I have targets setup around sandy areas to show pellet impact by watching for sand movement.
Hope.some of this helps🎩🤙

absolutely no shortcut for practice or experience.

as was said,
trigger pull,breathing,not flinching,follow through.

and even a cheap bipod should work fine,
i have an atlas on my impact, but have the 30 dollar knockoffs on everything else,
yes the atlas is a beautiful thing and functions flawlessly,
but the cheapies are absolutely fine and ive been using them for years,
the only gripe i have is they dont cant or pan as good as the atlas.

FIDDI,
Many members will correctly point out a quality bipod ($300 on up) is a game changer, just as a quality ($800 on up) scope would be, however, too much to ask from my limited hobby budget. The Ajoite UUQ 8"-12" Adjustable Bipod (Amazon-$70) has served me well over a year, the easy on-off allowing for sharing between guns with picatinny front rails. WM

#1 Cant indicator
#2 Wind flags/indicators
#3 Lots and lots of ammo, as in 10,000 rounds and more per year.

Bipods/sandbags or other accessories are just aids/crutches, learn to shoot better with or without them. When you start to wait for wind to shoot then you are onto the right path.

I have been using a cvlife bipod for over two years and I'm happy with it, it's not an atlas or spartan but it's tough and stable.
As others have said practice, breathing, trigger pull, try and be as consistent as possible. Maybe try a lighter hold on the rifle. The most important part is to enjoy and have fun.

To answer the post question, my #1 accessory for accuracy past 50-60 yards would be an anti-cant scope level.

agreed!

if you have properly aligned the crosshairs to the bore during scope installation.

but most people don't,
or dont know thats something they should be doing,
or dont know how to.

i feel lost without a level lol

I'm sure you've heard people say "springers are hold sensative" and this is true. What some people forget is that all guns are hold sensative, springers are just amplified. When going for maximum precision and accuracy, make your holds as consistent as possible on ALL guns. You will find that even PCPs and firearms will like certain holds better than others.

As far as accessories go, I live a good rear squeeze bag. I have a Wiebad that I got off of Amazon that I absolutely love and it wasn't too expensive either.

Decaf coffee
That's a little extreme Lol! I just don't drink coffee an hour before I shoot and have a snack on the way.

My other post was short and honest lol. I do not have enough info. to be very accurate but I will throw a couple quick ones out for you in hopes it helps a little. lol You are obviously having fun and have a general knowledge without a doubt. If you are shooting a dime sized spinner consistently as stated above at 50-60 yards you have an excellent start. Great shooting there.

You also stated that you are on a hill and shooting down into the woods I am sure that with your current abilities you are probably aware that at some point in extreme angles up or down the poi will change especially at long ranges haha. I do not know how steep the hill is or the angle.

Others have made some great suggestions and the wind flags are a must at those ranges for me haha. Just a piece of plastic flagging tape tied on a limb will help alot.

Again I am shooting in the dark here for lack of knowledge but do you have a backer behind those spinners so that you can tell whether the shot was high or low or left or right ? something similar to a quadrant target spinner of something that relays critical information back to you upon impact at a minimum.

check out how the wind effects the flight whether it is a head wind, tail wind cross wind and so on lol. I still think if you are losing sight of the pellets as they fly into the woods at 80 and 100yards it is crucial to know where they are hitting by placing some kind of a backer like say cardboard or a piece of plate steel or other painted surface for groupings .

I have often been amazed at the knowledge and experience that some of the well seasoned shooters have. It takes some time as we all know haha. Their discipline and ability to lock up and perform muscle memory as if it is natural with exquisite form and execution is true amazing. Time and a great attitude/practice go along way here of course. haha

If you wanted to test the limits of your pcp you first have to remove the shooter JMHO. a vise locked down and all you do is gently complete the trigger break haha. Any time I introduce myself into the equation murphys law kicks me at any given moment.

again I think there is no substitute for Knowledge/experience that can be had lol.

It sounds as if you are having a blast of fun and excitement that is awesome. I also think you will out shoot this old hunter plinker pester very soon. I wish you the very best in your quest you will get there soon just keep enjoying the ride. haha

Scott

I hope something helps you the guys here are mostly great people.
