The vendor I got mine from has the new parts in. Im not really thrilled about having to take it all apart but at least I won’t be out the cost of a Huma reg.

I have a couple Huma’s that creep like mofo’s. No reg is immune. Sounds like it was a reg pin alignment issue hence the new block. Looks like Huma included a little plug in that pack for where the old Krait regs pin went into the block. I hope the Huma is solid too. It will be nice to have alternatives down the road for those who can’t stop playing with their regs and the V-whatever starts to wear. Fingers crossed it goes into production.

Although I said that I'd let mine sit...I did do some shooting with my Krait today.
As I mentioned, possibly in another thread, though mine was tested with a regulator pressure of 90 bar, by the time that it got to me (about four days), the gauge was just shy of 100 bar.
So yeah, I'll let mine sit a few days to see just how much it leaks per day.
The needle was very close to the 90 bar hash mark, so it'll be fairly easy to spot.

Looking at my new monoblock, the reg pin is larger. Huma is going to have to offer a gen 1 and a gen 2 reg for these guns. Hopefully they are aware and only have to change the pin plug they offer.

The first krait I bought and fixed reg is still very solid may a few fps change in day of sitting....the krait L I just received with new block works Great!

The one.I have has been solid. It can sit for days and days and stay right at 110b.

With my new stuff installed I’m having an issue. But it’s one of those issues that you can’t have a knee jerk reaction to. I thought I was dealing with creep because of a slow first shot or a fast first shot depending on where I have my hammer set. But it’s not. It’s a recovery issue. My first shot after the gun sits is the only shot that is truly indicative of where my gun is set. If I keep shooting at a normal pace like how you would to zero the gun, the speed flattens out slower. But if I load a mag, I get a fast first shot. So this is when diagnosis comes into play and being patient. If I let the gun sit for 24 hours, first shot is around 890fps. Keep shooting and it flattens out in the 870’s. Let it sit for 2-5 minutes, back to 890 for the first shot. I can see I tiny bit of creep on my gauge after 24 hours but it doesn’t effect my first shot because of where my hammer is set. I have the reg apart now and will work on that response time. I’m also dealing with this pin walking out on my gun after a bunch of shots. Anyone else have to tap this back in every now and then? This is after about 5 mags.

Reg bone dry inside. Did some work, everything lubed and back together. Gun aired up and will test it a little later.

Five days later, NO movement. The same place.
I put a digital gauge (like the one on my Ghost) on it this morning. I'll see that it looks like I have to shoot the regulator pressure down, because the gauge has gone from 99,4 bar, to 98.7 to 97.6, and my last shot was 96.9 bar.
I checked the digital gauge as I was filling the guns cylinder, with the 2-1/2 dia Wika gauge on my fill cylinder at 90 bar, on the Wika gauge, and 91.4 on the digital gauge. So this tells me that the digital gauge is...close to correct (per the Wika gauge), at least at 90 bar !

Mike, do a 10 shot string starting with 250b in your bottle. Record speed and what your reg gauge says for all 10 shots. Then when you shoot the gun down to 150b left in the tank, do another 10 shot string recording the same stuff.

Vetmx is correct about the recovery rate. It sucks. We found out for certain when we installed a digital gauge. But the creep is also a problem unless you've polished your shaft (hold the jokes). Even with it polished and not creeping one bit, it still can take several minutes to reach that set point where it holds. It's that "pull" design. It's just bad.
Anyway, Huma has saved the day with a "push" reg! Remember that prototype reg I said I was getting from Huma? Well I got it. And I installed it. And then we went and tested it - and it's absolutely cash money. Daniel's Krait is shooting lights out now. No more double reg, just the one Huma. Towards the end of this video there is a little chrony string for you. Gun is fixed!! ***Fingers crossed I don't eat those words later***
I hope this thread stays up so in years from now when some dude picks up a second hand Krait he can stumble upon this thread and get all the help and info on it he needs. Thanks to everyone who has been contributing.

After a boatload of pellets I can’t get my reg to stop following my bottle pressure. It doesn’t creep but I can’t find a hammer setting that will accommodate the 5-6 bar that my reg drops from a full fill to refill. I currently need my reg set around 145b to shoot the pellet I want to shoot because the gun is a bit anemic. Later today I will back the gun down to 135b and try it there to see if the hammer and reg just doesn’t like the higher setting. What’s even crazier is my zero changes as my reg pressure changes. When my reg drops 2 bar my speed takes a 10fps jump and my POI changes. This thing is driving me nuts. My old monoblock and polished reg may be better than this new stuff. I was able to tune around the tiny bit of creep I still had but the gun stayed on point from fill to refill. What I can’t believe is every single bar that my reg drops, there is a definitive speed drop. Zero wiggle room.

Yep, we've experienced the same inexplicable POI shifts. We think rail flex might be a part of it, but it seems to happen with pressure changes, too - so ?????
We will do some more testing with the Huma reg to see if we still get shootdown as bottle pressure decreases, but from what I saw yesterday it seemed very stable (minus the odd POI shifts that are unavoidable, apparently)
In any case, I believe I stand completely validated with my overall evaluation: this gun is a piece of doo-doo. Even Master Shake agrees.
Can we see some pics of the new receiver? What changes did you note? Do you think the Huma reg in my video above would still fit the new style blocks?

The pin on the reg is bigger and the new block accommodates it. I started shaving speed with the valve this morning and the gun seems to be more stable with a 2 bar flux on the reg but I’m bleeding FPS. UA told me where they have been setting the valves. When I tried it, it completely killed my gun. I didn’t test the gun from a full fill to refill with those settings because I think having a .25 set on 145b to shoot a 27 grain pellet 800fps from a 550mm barrel is stupid. Even going back with two regs I still have the Krait reg following my bottle pressure which makes no sense to me. If the Krait reg is seeing a steady 190b from my first reg, why does it still drop as my tank goes from 250b down to 190b. I still believe it’s recovery. It just keeps getting slower and slower. I have another thing to try today. It’s been educational.

I got the response time better. Found a slight issue. Not the guns fault, debris must have came from bottle. Response seems fairly normal now. Back to finding a setting that will work across a broad tank pressure range.

For those that are curious and have seen the pictures of the first couple regs for these guns, here is a picture of the V-what ever reg. Very well done. If this was in the gun out the gate, things would have gone better. The machining on the metal seat is how it’s supposed to be now. There’s a flat on the pin so you don’t distort the seat when a tool grabs it. The gun is still sensitive to tune but that doesn’t make it broken. Talked to Huma. They will be only offering a Gen 1 reg replacement. So if you want to use a Huma down the road, maybe it is a faster responding better reg, save your old monoblock. After cleaning up and lubing my reg, the response time keeps getting better. Shooting probably helps. Hope this satisfies some people’s curiosity and puts other at ease knowing what’s in your gun without having to go exploring.

I just picked up a krait x (knowing the issues). It helps I have a few good airguns techs to talk to as well. Seeing some creep maybe but based on it sitting over night and holding at higher pressure I believe the recovery time is to blame. I've pulled the reg a few times and haven't found anything to be overly dirty. We do have Huma sending some regs to try so we will see if they will work in the gun since it has the new block (hoping it does). When shooting though the guns shows a lot of promise, pushing h&n 27 grain .217 at about 990 at roughly 130 bar and very good group overall (pretty sure my shaky self tossed one a bit) at the 35 yard indoor range I have access to. One thing we did which seems to have helped some but not confirmed with any real testing time was to put a 14x1.5 oring in the bottom of the reg cup (in the block). More consistent by far on the manual gauge though I changed it for digital today to be able to track it better (not a fan of that stock gauge). I will post a pic of the group tomorrow.

Huma reg won’t work. Just got an email from Marc yesterday. Here‘s a pic of the old block on the right, new block on the left. They made a small brass pin for their reg. They haven’t even seen a new block yet at Huma. The new block needs a bigger pin.
