I’m tired of being a Guinea pig lol air rifles have frustrating me beyond anything I’ve ever encountered lol

Especially in the fx world. They are very easy to screw up while tinkering and tuning, but luckily, also easy to get back to shooting well again. Lots of patience and adjusting is in your future if pcp’s are in it!

On paper I like almost everything about it, but for the Biathlon style lever.

I would ponder the situation a bit longer.
It will be the first iteration of the gun and guaranteed they will not have all the bugs worked out.
Mostly, if you are not shooting NRL comp or some such and you like to shoot much you and your bottle are going to get well acquainted. The shot count is reported as very low, like 15 shots or so. If you are prone to shoot a lot like I do you may find that a frustrating situation.

I would definitely buy one for field target, .177 with a 500mm barrel, and shoot JSB 13.4’s

Why? As in why are you considering it over other options? Looks nice if you think it does what you need. It doesn't for me so I would never want one happy with the FX guns I have.

I’m betting the Pantera is going to be a spectacular performer, it already is so far.
I agree that it would be a good idea to wait and watch to see if there’s any weakness that might show up.
I like the idea of a stiff solid rifle and the Pantera looks more ridged and solid than my Crown.
I’d absolutely love the long version right now but I bought a RedWolf about 6 months ago so that ain’t gonna happen!

When did 38" become to long for a rifle ?
.........even the 600 is 43" and that is pretty standard lenght for a rifle.
Yes the 700 is very long but there's 3 models of the Panthera and the 500 at 38" is actually on the short side for a rifle.

38" for a rifle is perfect !!!
The total length shown by Tony at Talon Tunes says it is 49" !!!!
49" on a rifle is not comfortable to handle.. If the Wolverine HP is discoustingly long, this Panthera with 49" is too, too long.
