Kayak Gun - Air Pistol vs Salt Water?!

So I kayak fish almost every weekend here in Florida and wanted to buy/ build a quiet gun to throw in my boat to pop the odd iguana etc (invasive species here)

Will be supressed and discrete for the sakes of politeness on the water.

I built a crosman 1322 recently with a suppressor and red dot but I don't think it has the accuracy I want.

I'm looking for a pcp with folding stock and small scope with decent shot count in probably .25

anyway that gets me onto the salt part as even the air is humid and corrosive. How do pcp guns hold up in these conditions and what measures should I take to protect it?

I carry a polymer 9mm on board and pretty much field strip and oil after every trip.

maybe a dry bag thats air tight unless I'm shooting the pcp but I'm interested to hear thoughts on this.

In the right hands a 1322 will be extremely accurate. You may consider a 2240 same power, cheap and super easy to completely strip.

Since I rebuilt the 1322 accuracy seems off. The breach screw is snugged up. I also had issues with the supressor clipping so I'm having a replacement sent out (buckrail are excellent)

I was hitting 1" groups from 30 yards before now seems to be 3" groups. I have no idea why. With the supressor 18" lol

Added the alchemy airwerks port, valve and spring inside

The optic is excellent

Diana Bandit PCP pistol with a Buckrail kit. I believe he has a poor mans folding stock as well. I have not got a change to play with it yet, it is a nice little set up. The mod has to be changed out.it is loud for a little carbine.

That is super cool. I'll definately have a little scope attached. I have a poor man's folder en route from buck rail. They make lovely stuff!

@mr_nom_noms_:

FX Dreamline Tactical in .177, this one can truly "git-ur-done" and has done it many times over. I love its compactness and its accuracy stands alone with no regrets.

That's a bad ass rig. I'd love an FX. I think my wife would divorce me if I dropped that kind of dollar on a pellet gun. Are they at about $1,500?

Thanks,
Yes, some where around that amount but always remember this one fact, "she can only kill/divorce you once and no more"
