Edgun Leshiy 2 30caliber highest power tune?

I currently have the Western Airguns Rattler 357 and it is a solid pcp performance wise consistent shooting with 81g pellets and 156g slugs up to 240 foot pounds energy. The problem is it leaks and it has already been repaired once and still leaks. Thus I am looking for alternatives and the Edgun seems solid compact choice.

Will Edgun come out with a 35 caliber Leshiy?

What is the highest power tune you can get with the 30 caliber now? Please include accessories and slug names.

Thanks!

Pretty unsure about the 35 cal. Biggest limitation would be the size of the magazine as they are all essentially the same size just with different bore diameters for each. It would also be limited by the length of the magazine which I think can accommodate up to 11mm in length.

I haven't maxed out the regulator but I have it set to 170 bar with .303 61 gr NSA slugs. I haven't chrono'd it yet so I can't really say but it flies straight and true easily to 75 yards. I am also using the Huma Mod40 and a 450 barrel with the stock jets.

A small note on the mags, I have three of them in .30 and I think the tooling wasn't as precise on one as the others and the bores are just a hair larger than the other two. In my experience it should be pretty snug and the looser one has a few more random fliers. I'm still testing them so YMMV

There was a 35 cal barrel available on e-bay for a time. But it was shipping from Russia, so likely impossible to find any now. These were designed to be single-shot only, i.e. the barrel also sits in the place of the magazine.

You likely won't see a .35 cal with a magazine, as the magazine would likely be too thin to be safe. Perhaps with some exotic materials they could make it work, but I doubt it.

would look like this:

so based on the largest slug weight that will fit in magazine lets say 61g and power jets installed people have posted 900fps that comes out to 110 foot pounds energy with 8 shots sound about right for max power?

If you want the highest FPE you are going to need a 600mm barrel. I can't recall how high I pushed my 450mm barrel when I had it, but I recall close to 100fpe. Reg around 200 and shot count with a 350mm tank maybe 2 mags at best.
You should also consider if you'll get a LW or Alfa barrel. The LW will work great for pellets, but most likely suck for slugs. The Alfa barrel - well I tried slugs in .303 and didn't have much luck - this was a couple of years ago before NSA had their .303, so maybe they run better.

You can increase the length of the magazine, but you'd also have to adjust some components on the rest of the gun, to ensure it could swing open and closed. Minimally you'd need to move the position of the hinge, so that's one additional component to change.

None of this is made at present, so you'd have to manufacture your own magazines and hinge mechanism.

With my .30 cal L2 (REPR) set to approx 175 bar, and a 600mm FX barrel, I get approx 95 FPE using the 50.15 grain JSB pellets and 93.3 FPE using NSA 54.5 grain slugs. I know I could go higher on the REPR, and with a 700mm barrel I could certainly get more FPE, but then the gun is going to get quite long. Its already long enough.
I have to say, with the FX barrel it is more accurate than it ever had been before, and almost on par with some of my FX rifles. That’s a pretty high bar for a semi-auto 94 FPE gun to hit!

at that length and weight i would just keep the Rattler 357 if only i could be assured of no leaks. it has the ability to shoot at 140FPE up to 240FPE.
I’m really sorry to hear about the leaks, since the Rattler looked REALLY attractive to me based on the specs. I love my Semi-Autos, and the thought of one with 15 rounds on tap shooting 140-240 FPE had me all excited 😎

I guess I’ll wait a while and see if they get on top of it.

I have to say that my existing Semi-Auto air rifles (Leshiy 2, Huben K1, Steyr Pro-X and Hunting 5) all hold air perfectly and are a lot of fun, but of course, really none of them are going to go much above 100 FPE.
