Would uou require a borescope to see the difference in rifleling? Or is it apparent from the breech?

I don't have a good way to take a picture but I just had a look down 2 .22 barrels. The LW barrel has a lot more lands so it will look more swirly as you look down the barrel - the land and grooves are also a bit more subtle. Looking down the AP barrel there are half as many swirls (only 5 or 6 for the poly) and they are more pronounced than the LW.

Very easy to see with naked eye, look down the bore, if no sharp line between lands and grooves found its polly - or push a pellet trough and inspect

Can anyone attest this holding up with long-term use and ownership? The hinge seems like a breaking point to me, and trying to decide between this and just getting a fx impact.

I had the same concern but after having handled one in person, the lockup seems very solid. That said, it is still a point of articulation. For me it was just a preference thing that stopped me from buying it. I never considered before handling it, but to my hands it "felt" weird having a rifle that width-wise felt like a pistol. Meaning too narrow. The Matador just felt better in hand.

I like it enough I'm now puchasing a Leshiy Classic to go with it.

As for this? I can't see it breaking there.
If anything is a weakness it's the magazine advancement system, but, really, even that is pretty rock solid.
- you want something to complain about? The trigger is weird. You simply cannot slowly squeeze it - it requires a firm confident pull to be accurate. - I don't find that to be a problem at all, except for the first shot or two if I'm just not thinking when I switch from something else to the L2.
Overall? No-brainer purchase IMO. Absolutely outstanding airgun.

Are you still using the factory grip on your L2?
I don't think my hands are any larger than average but I do seem to like larger grips. It's clear the stock L2 grip is too small and probably too angled for me.
Curious what you're using?
By the way if your Classic comes with the stock grip and you don't like it try adding a 3d printed extension first. @towle has a file on AGN.
One of my Classics as the stock grip + extension and a rubber pistol grip sleeve. It's not too bad. I think ideally I'd have something between the Gen1 and Gen2 Stephen Brown grips. Can't bring myself to sand my Gen1 down.

Thank you, I appreciate the input, yeah I'm trying to spend around $2000 for the airgun and $1000 for the scope and air tank. So I have to decide whether I want a semi auto for more fun shooting or the m3 for more accurized shooting.

Found a gently used .30 “Python Cowboy” edition at a fantastic price - so decided to join the L2 club once again.

I am jumping here and back and cannot decide for the grip. Shooting handheld - an angled grip works better, but ones shooting from a bench the straight vertical is more comfortable.
Also to clarify to some of the questiones earlier.
The L2 trigger + valve (timing) is not for serious target shooting @ 100, can work reasonably OKish only up to 50-60. There is just not enough fine tuning for that.
