I just dusted off my RTI Prophet Performance LR .22 which hasn’t been out of the safe in many many months. I had this rifle listed for sale but after shooting it again today I have taken it off the market

Here is my entry to the .177 cal Class. Shot this with my FX Crown MK II .177 cal using JSB Redesigned 13.43gr pellets, score 200 with 17-Xs. Almost forgot, no wind, 80 degrees, and shot pellets right out of the tin.

Please replace my current target entry in the .177 pcp class with the attached one.
Conditions were very good with a light variable l to r breeze. I had only one flag out located about fifteen feet from window I shoot from. The pellets were the very last from the same tin that I used to shoot the 19x target. Unfortunately, the tin didn't have any useful information to aid in locating more from the same die lot.

Awesome shooting and score Marvin. I don’t have any experience with .177 rifles but was curious what speed your pellets are flying from your Thomas? In calm conditions what is the maximum yardage that you can maintain similar accuracy?

Well shooters, today was the day for me. My first card of the day was a 200 17X using my RTI Prophet in .177! Of course, I did not shoot another card, as ending on a high point seemed best. I want to thank a few folks for pushing me towards a 200 score. @igolfat8 was our first shooter to submit a 200 with his RAW .22 on Page 7, Post #125 of this thread. That let us all know it was possible for a perfect score. When I created this challenge I doubted if a 200 score was possible for regular shooters. I also want to send a special thank you to @ThomasT . He shot a perfect score with his FX Crown .177 after many, many efforts, and his persistence paid off. He just shot another 200 recently. Lastly, I want to thank @LessMundane , my new friend who sold me the RTI Prophet.
A few of the steps that it took for me to get a 200 score: Bought and sold a few rifles that couldn't cut the mustard (Taipan Veteran .22 and FX Wildcat .22). Built a shooting table out of wood. Used old arrows with dental floss and tissues as wind flags. Moved up to a 24x scope. Dozens of barrel cleanings/polishing sessions. Dozens of pellet/tuning sessions. Shooting 3-4 cards nearly daily all summer, thousands of pellets.

If anybody deserves a 200 score it surely would be you for 1) starting this wild and crazy Competition and 2) for taking so much of your time to support all of us that have competed.
I cannot thank you enough for all the fun that I have had shooting at those almost invisible little Dots.

The gun was shooting between 803 and 810 fps on this target. Normally, I adjust it for speeds ranging from 790-805 to stay in the 20 ft./lb. class for benchrest competition.

Sorry I failed to respond to your second question. The answer is, I really don't know as all of my shooting with this gun has been done at 25 meters due to fact that my interest was in competing in USARB national Championship matches in the sub-20 ft./lb. class and the sub-12 ft./lb. class. Ranges beyond Tom's current 30 yds. get progressively challenging at those power levels and we don't experience calm conditions very often here. I have several other guns that are better suited for the longer ranges. I have space to shoot 50 yds. but my 83 yr. old legs wouldn't be good for more than one target every two hours so, I stick to my 75 bull 3-ring (8,9 & 10) practice targets on my 25-meter trap of the 30 yd. trap.

Now maybe it is time to continue, but instead of counting the highest score on line. Perhaps the lowest score on a line. In other words a 10 would not count as 10, if the pellet hit the 9 line.
