Glad I live way out in the country

Hello everyone,

A big advantage of living way out in the country is that I have a lot of neighbors that have great big wood barns. All of theses barns have huge barn doors and I can ask very nicely if they mind if I come over and try to hit one of the doors 🙄 .

I shot a whole bunch of paper targets this morning and for whatever reason was way off the mark....could not shoot a barn door....so to speak . For the last couple of weeks I have been stacking one pellet right on top of another and scoring a lot of 10's. Today I wanted to give myself a high-five when I shot a 9 🤩.

Have any of you fellows ever had a day like that?

Yes, Thomas. But everyone knows it's the pellets. Or the gun. Or the scope. Or the weather. Or the mounts. 😅🤣😂

Hello Ross,

Man you are so smart and figured out the problem right on the money, thank you that solves my problem. I'm so relieved to know that it was not me......

Have a great day,
ThomasT

Yes! Yesterday morning. I was going to list the gun for sale after yesterday's morning shooting session. I shot two different guns last night and made up for it. I wonder if it was the gun or the pellets? 🤔🤔🤔
Hello Greenarrow,

Yep, I was about ready to list several guns for sale at a bargain price, he he he:mad:

Have days like that all the time and freely admit it's the loose nut behind the trigger. My guns are all fully capable Me? Not so much some days...lol
Hello SteveP-52

Is that Metric or US Standard size? That is too funny :p. In my case it may require a left-handed monkey wrench.

Have a great day,
ThomasT

I get times like that. Dont feel like the lone ranger.

My fav is shoot great , go take a break or do somthing else for a hour or two come back and cant hit a thing . Thats using same everything for m at first. Or vice versa...lol

Times i just think someone snuck in and twisted the turrets when i was not looking😉

Thomas, I kinda wish it was the guns fault...but....NOOOOO....LOL! I am the one to blame for any inaccuracies with my PCP's sad to say! LOL!
Hello Ranchibi,

I really do not know what I was doing wrong this morning. I even got up after the second target and walked around for a while. Sat back down and shot a Competition 9 Target and broke the scoring ring on all but two??? At least I got a bunch of 9's. I shot that target two times yesterday and score all 10's. There is always tomorrow.

@ThomasT 7-8 ring shooter here. Sounds like your bad days are better than most of my good ones and you have prettier country around you. Seen some beautiful areas down there. Another good part about living in the country is that there aren’t many folks around to witness our bad days. Keep slinging that lead!
Hello Ezana4CE,

Yes sir, I am very fortunate to live here in beautiful Deep East Texas here on Sam Rayburn lake. My closest neighbor has no idea what I am doing so maybe I should not tell anybody. Even with my bad shooting, I still had fun.

Thomas, with us humans (that's what I think I am..LOL), our perception almost changes daily it seems! I enjoy both shooting and golfing and to me they are both very similar in that they both need a very repetitive shot routine. In golf, where the club bottoms out changes minutely daily so ball positions change (need to find where it is) and shooting is the same...need to find the right hold, trigger pressure and sight picture which changes slightly on a daily basis with me...it's not always the same! LOL! Keeps me on my toes! But, to me, it's the journey and not always the outcome, maybe that's why I like both sports, seeking perfection but rarely achievable with these two! Have a great weekend!
