Excellent gun. I have the black with stainless look in .22. Comfortable gun.
3 of my 97’s have Air Max scopes, 2 have Element. I like the Element better only because the clicks are way more pronounced. Enjoy. Crow

I like the look of it as is, but honestly, I am thinking custom stock at some point in the very distant future. The black line is the lowest cost option if you plan to do something like that.

Honestly I like the look all black better. I just wanted a stainless look. It was my only option.and worked out nicely. It’s very similar to the LGU Varmint another excellent thumbhole. Enjoy Crow

An unexpected update on this thread! The CP scope on my HW95 decided to go on vacation 25 degrees to the left! I thought maybe I had not tightened my scope rings in forever, maybe they were loose. WRONG! The reticle was pointing the wrong way, the scope was tightened down. So, I get to see how good an Optisan warranty is.

Wow! Beautiful guns and thank you for the pictures! The Optisan IS a very compact scope. Thank you for sharing that the one scope is having issues. That's a bummer. Hopefully Optisan will take care of it promptly and no other issues will arise with the other scopes.

Nice ITACUD. Let us know how it shoots. Deerstalker I was just looking at that scope. How long have you had it on your springer? My 95L has a 3-12 x 40 Athlon and I like it, but I need a new scope for another rifle.

A little over a year and 5K to 6K pellets shot. No problems so far. This is 5 at 25 from bags.

Nice. Not quite there yet but close. I’m only about 100 shots through and the gun has just finished teaching me how to hold it ha ha. Last time I shot it on Thursday I stacked the first three then pulled the 4th a little left dagnabit! Actually ended up going with an Athlon Talos BTR 4-14x44 FFP over the Hawke for the gun with broken scope. Mounted tonight, nice scope at first glance. We will see.
