HW100 or 110 are about the best, very under rated here, top quality,

177 .. Cricket compact , for pellet duty... 177 uragan standard for slugs..the one I have shoot Nielsen slugs flawless..even when is pushing the 12.5g at 1050fps ..

Well the Fx ST .177 must be the best kept secret in town. I would surly include the Fx Royal 400 with the fore mentioned guns for accuracy.

I have a Veteran and an HW100. Both are excellent rifles. Depending on your use, you will probably have a preference for either the bullpup or full length rifle. The fit and finish of the Weihrauch is better than the Taipan, but both are very dependable and accurate. Between these two, it's a personal preference, no bad choice.

My Air Arms S400s/S500s have been great to me. I really think they're top notch in .177.
S510 if you're a magazine guy or S500 to single load. The regulated full length versions (XS Xtra FAC models) should get you in the neighborhood of 80-90 shots per fill.

You mentioned “shoot at a reasonable price” . So since you put a limit on the rifle price I’m assuming you mean ammo cost once you own the rifle.
I switched to air rifle last year when gun powder based ammo went into exponential stupid, like what gasoline is doing now and very soon electricity. Anyway, I went over to AofA and Pyramyd and .177 prices and .22 prices were quite similar. AofA is buy four get one free and Pyramyd is buy three get one free.
The upside for .22 being more energy and a bit easier to handle during loading. A tin of 500 .177’s is tiny compared to .22’s.
Was kind of surprised on pricing. I personally favor the .22. My FWB Picollo is of course .177 but is a 10 meter gun so seeing my shot on the target is easy.

Budget wise I'll do you one better than the Avenger. I have a Diana Stormrider (Mrodair Varmint) that is one hole accurate. $219.99 all day long. Has a smallish air reserve and isn't regulated but i haven't found that to be a problem.

That seems to be very accurate. I have an Impact M3 in every caliber and the .177 drives me mad with tuning/accuracy. its like a constant battle.

I just got a Brocock Sniper XR in .177 and I just love it. Only a few hundred pellets in but it is great. A bit hefty but I find it aids in stability off hand. It’s making me a better shooter.
I like it so much I may get a magnum in .22 as well. Having the adjustable power wheel is a very versatile feature.

I would also recommend a HW 100, problem is I think the latest version is sold out everywhere. So I would wait for a AGT Uragan 2 Compact.
